A friend of mine went to this business for a belly button piercing. The employee was unable to complete the piercing and became visibly upset. The situation escalated, and the owner became physically aggressive toward her. At no point was my friend rude, aggressive, or confrontational. She was a respectful customer and did nothing to warrant this behavior. This experience was frightening and traumatic. Based on what occurred, I do not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Went to get a septum piercing. Extremely painful. Turns out the piercer did not pierce straight and the piercing was crooked. Also, the left side of my piercing came out so low it's not even IN my nostril. Definitely do not recommend. read more

Came by for a spur of the moment tattoo. The receptionist wasn't very talkative and short. The tattoo artist was also rude. He was asking me about placement so I wanted my friends opinions from a different view to make sure the placement was good (just needed a second set of eyes)....he yelled more than once that it was my tattoo and he didn't care what they said but he was only doing what I said, which is fine but the way he went about it was not....So bad to the point my friends walked out. Definitely need some better customer service. read more

I couldn't recommend them more. I've only ever gotten a piercing there but he's done all of me my sisters and dads piercing and we have a lot. He walks you through them them really well. As a native of Northport, I always heard about the negative interactions that occurred at this "studio". I have accompanied friends getting tattoos in this "shop", and I most recently drove a friend to have a piercing changed out. The professionalism in this place is non-existent, and the place is not a very inviting atmosphere. You can tell that they do not care too much about their presentation both in customer interactions and shop aesthetics. My last run in with this place led to my friend crying because of the pain an infected piercing was causing her, which caused the owner? to run her off and then follow her outside to then tell me to get off his property -- calling me a "fucking punk". I did not even enter the shop, nor had I had an interaction with this man before. All in all. Always been the worst place in town. Still is. read more

I'd had a couple piercings before so I was fairly familiar with the process. They could not have been nicer and it took maybe 15 minutes to get my rook and my third lobe, no appointment needed. Looks great- the only thing is that there was not really a choice for the earrings I was getting. Overall great. read more

Amazing experience! Shop was very clean and tidy and had a great atmosphere. Me and a friend went in for a few piercings and were VERY nervous, and the man who did our piercings was so nice and did everything he could to make us less nervous and anxious. This review is long overdo, but please do your research before getting your first tattoo. I made a stupid decision of getting my tattoo here. I got some guy who was kind of an ass. All I wanted was a simple cross and this guy dug pretty deep in my skin that I was bleeding. (Granted you bleed already bc it's a needle but I have 6 tattoos and even my biggest piece on my thigh didn't bleed that much) on top of that, it was crooked! A five year old could have made a straighter cross. It took over 2 months to heal because it scarred my wrist. Like it's a legit scar. I didn't even want to show my friends my first ever tattoo because it just looked hideous. When I came back from winter break, I talked to the owner and demanded to fix it, which he did.... but he was taking shit about the guy and it made me very uncomfortable. On top of that, it's location and the inside just look really sketch. Seriously, go anywhere else but here. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. My friends and I came in last night around midnight and Adam said he would be willing to give my friend a tattoo he just had to finish up another client first. While we waited my friend decided on what she wanted, soon after that a lady who was getting a large tattoo done was taking a break and came over and chatted with us for at least a half hour (and her tattoo artist chatted with us as well! Super friendly). Adam came out shortly after and my friend showed him what she wanted and he gave her what she wanted and more. Her tattoo was absolutely perfect! It was her first tattoo and Adam was super nice during the entire process. He made sure to make us feel like we were right at home during the entire thing and made sure that she was not in any pain. (She was pretty scared). I decided that I wanted to get my cartilage double pierced after my friends tattoo and Adam did that as well. Let me just say I will never go anywhere else to get a tattoo or piercing!!! Adam was great during the entire thing and made that the best piercing process I have ever been through. It a super smooth whole and you could tell he was a trained professional! I didn't feel a thing! I would give this place more then 5 stars if I could. If your thinking about going here or some where else I suggest here for sure! read more

I got my nose pierced last night, so I cannot say how it has healed yet, but so far I highly recommend Symbolic Ink for piercings. I came in with 3 of my friends and we were the stereotypical squealy girls all excited about our piercings. The guy working was very kind and easy to talk to. The whole experience was super fun and quick, I expected to have to wait but we were in and out in 20 minutes with all of us getting piercings. The experience was essentially painless and I love my piercing! I would definitely go back. He used gloves and I saw him take out the needle from a fresh bag and it seemed very clean. read more

I've gotten my first 2 there and they do an outstanding job! They have a really nice waiting room with a T.V. and everything :) At Symbolic Ink, they stay clean and they have really good ideas for you to consider getting. A really good artist that's there, Paul, can honestly do just about anything... FREEHAND! He can draw amazingly.. he did the two Koi fish for my Pisces zodiac symbol in just a matter of minutes and I love it. It is so beautifully done. Overall, my satisfaction here was an easy 5 stars and I'll probably always come here to get any other tattoos. Both times I've walked out of this place IN LOVE with the tattoo I got. Oh, and I've walked out highish from the good kind of pain that comes along with getting a tattoo. I love Symbolic Ink and anyone wanting their tattoo, this is a really good place to go especially if you want something that is an original and not in some book or poster somewhere.
