He was one of my all time favorite physicians. I had to find a new doctor immediately and unfortunately there wasn't many to choose from that fit my needs in the Sutter community within the time frame I needed locally. I was offered to see Dr. Chowdhury in Manteca. I was hesitant at first because I had to make a drive a few cities over and I am a seizure patient. So on a bad day I would have to cancel appointments (so I thought). I was reminded she does video appointments. I am absolutely glad I accepted her as my new physician. Dr. Chowdhury is very compassionate, understanding and gets you the referrals you need for the medical care you need. Her demeanor makes you comfortable and at ease in her presence. Her doctor office staff is very friendly and the office itself is very intimate when you enter. It is in a location I do question and makes me a little nervous and that is why I do give 4 stars. It has nothing to do with the doctor or her staff.

While waiting in the lobby I can hear them talking rudely to other patients on the phone. Today was the breaking point. I called to let them know I've tested positive for Covid and that I just had surgery a few days prior. The receptionist response was "well of course you did. You were at a hospital. What did you expect?" I was taken back I honestly didn't know how to respond. I do not recommend this doctor's office to anyone. The only good doctor there who seemed to care was Dr Mitchell MacCready who has recently left the practice.

Well, by the end of the visit she said she wouldn't give me the bridge script because "I don't prescribe narcotics for any reason." WTF, she literally told me that she would help until I found a pain specialist. I have been going to a pain doctor for three years. They can see from my records is that I have been on the same dose this whole time. I haven't been fishing for more. All of my UIs have come back clean. Honestly I am a model patient. Then, they never sent the referral to the pain doctor she personally recommended me to!!! Maybe she is OK if you sprain your ankle but if you have serious health issues and chronic pain like me find someone else. She Will trivialize your pain while patronizing you the whole time. Worst doctor I have had to deal with in a long time. Stay away.

I've been going to Ripon Family Physicians on and off for over 12 years. I normally always get…read moreprofessional staff and great physician bedside manner, however the last time I went a few weeks back I was charged $50.00 for my copay which was fine being my spouse who works in the medical field gave all of our insurance information days ahead of my appointment. Fast forward a couple of weeks and now I've been called numerous times throughout a couple of days while I'm at work I'll have you to tell me I owe them $148.00 for my visits after being told a few times while there "there is no additional charge for your wellness visit" come home Friday and get my mail and additionally owe $111.00 for my bloodwork through quest now too. I'd give 5 stars to the physicians and 2 stars to the staff who handle the billing. I now have and additional $250.00 to pay just before the holidays. Thanks for the surprise.
