We didn't want to use just any regular photographer, we wanted a photographer whose niche was weddings. When we saw Scott's pricing and stunning photography, we were sold. I called him up, spoke on the phone with him, and then actually met with him with my mom, who happened to be in town then (we were going wedding dress shopping). Since we live in Connecticut and Scott is in NH, he actually didn't meet Jay until a month before the wedding when we all met up at the Shattuck to go over details and so he could actually meet Jay, in order to get a feel for his personality and to see how the two of us interact. My husband isn't the type of man who does well with posed photography, and with Scott's perspective and style of not doing poses photography, but capturing everything in the moment and as it happens, we definitely felt confident with our choice of photographer.
