Still could care less, worst attitudes on the planet. I have been in retail my whole life , if I treated my customers this way, I would have been already out of business. I stopped into Tar River Arms on a Saturday 9/26 morning while traveling for work from Florida. It…read morewas easy to find, and right away I liked the feel of the place. It's a smaller shop with a friendly, personal atmosphere, and nobody pressured me while I looked around. They had more on the walls than I expected, too: everything from affordable guns around $350 to some seriously nice high-end options. I'd visited a few shops around Raleigh, and this was the first one where I liked both the selection and the people enough to buy. Kurht was there, and you could tell he cared about the customers. While I was looking around, I watched someone buy his first gun. Kurht took the time with him, and it was cool to be there for that moment. We all remember our first one. Then I spotted a Geissele Super Duty in exactly the color and setup I wanted, so I ended up taking it home. I also bought a scope, which he mounted and zeroed at 200 yards for me. The whole experience of an out of state sale was fast, easy and enjoyable. I'd recommend Tar River Arms wholeheartedly. If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular. Even from Florida, I'd be happy to order through them and have a gun shipped to my local FFL. Thanks, Kurht, for a great experience.

I ordered a Quantum spinning reel just like the one that I purchased at Bass Pro Shop for $71.00 inc tax. The same exact reel from Sportsman's Wholesale was $37.00 inc shipping saving me $34.00. I ordered it on a Saturday and it arrived the following Friday morning just as it was stated in the purchase agreement. Ordering could not have been easier and the whole process was simplified enough for even me ( 70 yr old ), old school type who grew up buying everything from a store of one type or another. Do yourself a huge favor and give this place a chance, you will not be sorry !!!

I had been looking all over the internet and at guns shows for an American Tactical Moxie Commander…read more.45 ACP and there were none to be found or what few sights that had them they were overpriced or shipping charges were outrageous or both. All that changed when I visited the tables of First Light Guns at the C & E gun show in Hickory NC on April 14, 2024. Not only did they have one, they had three! And with $25 off all guns the day I visited the show with tax included and I paid cash to avoid the debit/credit card fee, I walked out with my new Moxie Commander for a very reasonable price and didn't have to pay an outrageous shipping charge or FFL transfer fees to my local FFL holder like I would have if I had to order it online. The owner, Blake was friendly and we talked back and forth while waiting for the background check to come through and once the purchase was made, he shook my hand and thanked me for my business. You better believe when the C & E gun show comes back to Hickory NC , First Light Guns will be the first vendor I visit when I attend the show.
