And after my stay, convenience aside, I can see why he likes to have his guests stay here. This hotel has quite a lot of character. The facade was inviting, giving the impression of an old country inn. The lobby was quite unobtrusive with a small office that is only occupied part of the time, it seems. A half-story up were two restaurants, one more formal and one less so. The second level were banquet and conference rooms. On the next level are the guest rooms. There are only eight of them, making it appropriate to call this place cozy. I was checked in by someone working in the restaurant. The staff were generally approachable and easy to work with. The room I was assigned suited me well as it was clean and spacious. The work area was adequate and the bathroom was sufficiently spacious to allow maneuvering. The bed was comfortable and the surroundings wonderfully quiet allowing me to get good sleep. I had dinner in the less formal restaurant, which turned out to be quite good. The breakfast was in a smaller room by the restaurant. The hostess brought yogurt, breads, meat and cheese. It was all quite tasty and the portion was perfect for me. The room rate was very reasonable considering it was Switzerland. My final bill was 108 CHF. Considering the value, this was more than fair. In general, I will look forward to staying here again.
