three stars for an amazing view and walkable trails out the door. two stars for clean albeit very…read moresmall room, one star for a very narrow and uncomfortable bed. two stars for quite good food and waitstaff when the restaurant is actually open. however, the restaurant is now closed to the public on the weekends so getting back to the hotel after a long day of working means no food. the hotel is now focusing on income from hosting corporate events, so you may find yourself with a noisy crowd outside drinking on the patio until 1 am during the week, and no services on the weekend. in four visits this year, the front desk staff constantly made mistakes in booking rooms, room not available upon checkin, even after I paid for an extra day so I could check in when I arrived from the US at 8am. the front desk staff is unavailable and very confused. overall the hotel on the weekend seems like a ghost town. a guest trying to check in on sunday night found the hotel doors locked, lights off, and walked around the property in tears trying to contact someone. she ended up knocking on my ground floor glass window to ask for help. i used to stay here every time I worked in zurich, I will never stay again.

Ambience of seating under the trees right in the docks of lake Zurich was impressive. The menu is dominated in fresh lake Zurich fish and at least three ways to cook it. Everything was super tasty but did take long to get to the table. The dessert menu is very extensive and there are two menus! With one dedicated to glacé! Would def come back!
