Wow! This golf course has recently overseeded and looks great! They have a fun, challenging layout for all players. They recently purchased a new fleet of golf carts too! Stop in the pro shop to get great customer service, a snack and a drink (or two). We started going to swiss fairways because they were so close to us, but now we prefer them over other nearby courses. John provides great customer service and wants everyone to have a good time. If I could give zero stars, I would. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Don't waste your time or money here. Rude, unprofessional and unwelcoming staff who acts like their course is up to par with Bella Collina. Me and my husband's tee time was 0934, we were paired with another couple and spent 7 minutes on the first hole (with 4 golfers) to be told by the ranger that we "needed to speed it up" and just "throw the ball onto the green" after each of us hitting twice. Unfortunately for them, they were backed up with 10 carts full of people waiting to tee off, as you're able to book tee times EVERY TWO minutes at this course, haha. After asking for a refund and explaining the rude encounter with the ranger to the pro golf manager, he laughed and told my husband to get out of the club. read more

This is probably my new favorite golfing spot! The people who run the golf shop are THE nicest people. So warm and welcoming. And ready to help. That alone can make or break a golf course for me and these people get 5 stars on hospitality! The course itself is pretty fun. Very little houses on the course, which I like, in comparison to courses squeezed in a neighborhood. Some tricky over the water shots. And some long drives. The golf carts have got to be the coolest I've used. So ergonomic. They're gas carts, with the perfect amount of cup holders, spots for golf balls and tees, and even have phone holders. Best yet they have USB ports to charge your phone! Another interesting part about the course, is it's part of a water ski resort, so you can watch and play alongside people water-skiing. Only downside, is the some greens need a little work. From my understanding, the course is in the process of being revamped, so I can't wait to see what it's going to be like coming up. I've played this course over the past 5 years. No it is not a tourist type groomed course. But it is a great little track. Was wondering how it would bebe as a9 hole track but I like I can get out and play 9 holes with buddies under a couple hours at a very reasonable price. Yes John can be short with you but that is part of the mystic. Go out and have fun at this course. read more

I highly recommend that everyone stay away from this golf course. I recently booked a discount tee time through Golf Now. When the people at the course realized that this was the case, they took on an incredibly aggressive posture. From the from desk to the owner who approached me while I waited for my tee time in the parking lot, everyone was aggressive and threatening. At one point the owner got within 2 inches of my face while screaming at me. It may be a wonderful course with great conditions, but if you feel in danger before you even get to the first tee, it's not worth any discount price. There are many great courses in the area that appreciate your business. Stay away from this one and stay safe! read more

Owner was very rude and argumentative. Right off the bat acted like we were inconvenienceing him by being there. Had played there three times before and never had a problem and thought maybe he was having a bad day but saw quite a few other reviews that mentioned how badly there groups were treated as well. This golf course is horrible! I was trying to pay for my tee time and he was busy yelling curse words and other slurs at his cart boys and would not take my credit card for 5 minutes. Fairways are in horrible condition oddly white in a lot of areas. Most rude staff experience I have ever encountered. Cart boys are exceptionally well and did great job greeting me and making my golf experience memorable. read more

My buddy hit me up last weekend and asked me to play here. Its a bit of a drive for me but it was around $20 and someone else had told my friend that it was a nice course for the price. Once my friend told me where we were going to play, I looked the place up on the Internet to see what others had to say about it, and the reviews were not good. I was sorta worried I was gonna drive a little under an hour to a crappy golf course. Fortunately, I didn't. Let me start of by saying that I am no golf professional, I've only been playing for about a year, but I've been playing quite a bit in that time. If your looking for a fancy clubhouse and hot beverage cart girls, don't go lookin' here. The clubhouse is a trailer and there's not much for amenities here. That's maybe the source of the negative reviews I saw. They had golf carts, a driving range and a well maintained golf course so consider me happy. I shot my best round so far on this course as well, which may contribute to my content. It was a nice and well maintained place in my opinion and you can't beat the $20 I paid, it was a gorgeous day. I have golfed Swiss Fairways for years and they have made improvements with new ownership in the past couple of years. Cosmetically the cart paths were redone, the signage has been replaced but the course still needs work but it's getting better. Don't get my wrong, I really like this course . It is laid back in the country of Lake County, it's typically not packed and you can get a round in for less than $20. The amenities I agree aren't the fanciest but the staff who run the place are some of the nicest around. I will definitely be back. read more

We have played this course several times but will not play here again. After paying for golf, they tried to split our threesome up. It would have been ok to put someone else with us, but we did not want to be split. This wasn't a last minute tee time, we made it five days ago and wanted to play together. We decided not to play here, but management refused to refund our money. They won't get another dime from us. The management at this course needs some customer service training and an anger management class. We made a last minute tee time at another course and had a wonderful day playing as a threesome. read more

So sad to see this place. A beautiful course destroyed by some greedy people. It is with heavy heart that I write this review. Who ever is the greens keeper here should walk away and never ever say that he worked here. The tee boxes were not cut in last week at least probably longer since the place has not seen water on it since the last rain everything is brown and dead .the greens were ever thing but green full of disease bunkers not looked after where the fairways began or ended was anyone guess? My wife says I should not pick on the greens keeper and I'am not it is the people who hold the purse strings who are to blame.they are totally at fault here. Too sum it up do not go here. read more
