I have come to this jewelry store many times before, mostly because it is the closest to my home. But I will never ever come back. I brought my watch in because there was condensation inside. The jeweler asked me why I wore it in the shower or a swimming pool. I told him I didn't do either. In fact, I've never worn it in the shower or in any wet situation. He looked at me and said, " You definitely did!" I didn't feel like arguing with him, but I thought at that point that he was very rude to argue with me when I had told him explicitly that the watch has never gone under water. When I came to pick up the watch, he warned me again about not getting it wet. Had he not heard me before!? I then took a look at my watch and saw that there was a chip on the crystal. That chip was not there when I brought this watch to him. It is not just a little chip, it is bold and extremely obvious, and I definitely would've noticed it prior to me bringing it in. In fact, if I had noticed something like that before I would think that it was possible that even handwashing could have gotten condensation into the bezel. He immediately argued with me and said, "Of course it was there!" That was absolutely not true and he continued to argue with me in front of a store full of customers and employees. This man is extremely extremely rude. He told me that he was too old to be arguing with a woman like me. To that, I agreed. He IS old and extremely crotchety. I will never step foot in this place nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. I'd be willing to go 10 more miles from home as to avoid this man again. He embarrassed me in the store, he did not listen to me, and then he wrecked my beautiful watch. Sooooo bad for business to have this man working at this establishment, and even worse that he is allowed to interface with customers. read more

I walked into Swiss Connection this afternoon with something incredibly precious to me--a bent, nearly broken silver ring that my late father gave me for my birthday, the last piece of jewelry he ever gifted me before he passed away. My wedding is in one week, and I had been hoping against all odds to wear this ring as my "something blue." I wasn't sure hope would be enough. I came to Swiss Connection because every experience I've ever had with them has been marked by kindness, honesty, warmth, and true professionalism. Years ago, the owner, Jean-Jacques, replaced a watch battery for me on a Saturday morning during one of the hardest seasons of my life. I walked out of that visit smiling for the first time in days. That moment stuck with me. Today, I was met with that same care--this time from Jeremy, a jeweler whose talent and generosity truly left me speechless. From the moment he looked at the ring, Jeremy was honest. Silver is malleable, he said. He wasn't sure he could salvage it. He made no promises--only that he'd try and that he'd know within a few minutes whether anything could be done. I appreciated his transparency and the sincerity in his voice. While he worked, the staff (all incredibly kind--my golden retriever got just as warm a welcome as I did) made me feel at ease. Time passed, and when Jeremy finally emerged, he had a hopeful look in his eyes that I will never forget. He gently picked up the loose topaz stone and said he thought he might be able to set it after all. What happened next felt nothing short of miraculous. Jeremy didn't rush. He took his time. He handled that ring as if he understood exactly what it meant to me--because somehow, he did. When he reappeared again, it wasn't five minutes later. It was much longer, because he had poured genuine care and craftsmanship into trying to restore something irreplaceable. And he did. He handed me back a beautifully polished ring with the stone set securely, restored in a way I didn't think was possible. When he told me there would be no charge, the tears came immediately. I don't think I've stopped crying since. Thanks to Jeremy, I will be able to walk down the aisle next weekend wearing a piece of my dad--my something blue, and a reminder of his love on one of the most meaningful days of my life. Jeremy may not be a man of many words, but his work speaks louder than anything he could say. His craftsmanship, humility, and kindness are extraordinary. My father always appreciated true artisans--people who take pride in their craft and show heart in their work. Jeremy is absolutely one of those people. I recently brought in a Rolex for a band adjustment. Not to happy with the women behind the counter, sort of a snobby attitude. Anyway, I asked if they could adjust to my wrist. They quickly did this and I paid and left. When I got home, I noticed some scratches on the band where they made adjustment. Went back to store and they said they did not do this. After conversations with watch maker , he concluded that this was not him, and that he is an "expert" in the field for 30 plus years, blah, blah, blah. There's not much to fix here, but would have appreciated more if he just agreed to the scratch and moved on. I would not take an expensive watch here for repair. read more

I've purchased items from Jacques, I've had pieces redesigned by him and his team, I've used his in-house department to repair pieces and I've sold gold scrap and used it for credit. They were very straight forward on what could be done and not be done and that it may not be worth it. It's a sentimental piece, so I did not care about the investment. I had been looking for somewhere to help me simply change a battery for my Skagen watch--which apparently needs a special tool to replace the battery--and Swiss Connection happily helped. As I was waiting for my watch, they did it right then and there, I received some devastating news and was in a state. The gentleman who helped me out simply smiled, handed me the watch and sent me off with the blessing that it will all be ok. I asked if I could pay for his services, but he declined and said he was happy to help and hoped everything would be ok. He made one person's worst day a bit more bearable. I am very pleased with Swiss Connection! FYI - this review is ONLY about their jeweler, Jeremy. I did not purchase any jewelry from them. I only had work on a personal piece. This past Tuesday I brought in an antique 1940's ring in. I had been looking to have the double rose cut white Sapphires swapped out with Moissanite that was single old rose cut. Due to the location of the store I was expecting the estimate to be well over my budget. During the entire conversation I spoke directly with Jeremy who I believe is the only jeweler who does repairs and so on at this location. I was very impressed that Jeremy took his time explaining his thoughts about the setting. He was also receptive to the fact I love my antique jewelry and want to keep it in the best condition possible for it's age. I dislike when shops try to persuade me to 'make the switch' from old to new and buy some of their current pieces. Jeremy did not try to upsell me or persuade me to go in another direction, which I greatly appreciated. Lastly, his estimate was very reasonable. He told me what to expect and did forewarn me about complications in working with older pieces. I understood the risk and felt confident to leave the piece. The piece was completed quickly and it looks amazing! His craftsmanship really showed. There was a strong possibility he would have to break my current stones to set the new (I had agreed to this) but he was able to remove the stones 100% intact! Super stoked :) Anyhow, I would have to say for repairs Swiss Connection far surpassed all of my expectations! Highly recommend you give this business a try. read more

Brought my engagement and wedding ring in as its size was floating a bit on my finger. Tried it with the ring noodle, but it was unsightly. I had to wear each ring separately so that it wouldn't scratch each other. Wanted to see if this place could do something without resizing it or have a ring guard, and Jeremy's solution was to solder them together. I've had encounters with various staff here and each person was helpful and customer-service oriented. In particular Jeremy, the jeweler is fantastic! He did an outstanding job repairing my diamond ring and replacing several missing micropave diamonds. I've had these diamonds replaced twice before from 2 other area jewelers. Turns out many of them were glued in with epoxy, not replaced into the tiny metal prongs as they should have been. I'm really surprised and saddened to read the negative things written here. We found JJ as a referral from a friend who is a watch collector and we've had nothing but great experiences. He's serviced my vintage Heuer Carrera as well as my modern Tag Heuer Carrera, changed the batteries in my wife and dad's non-automatic watches and always provided honest, thorough work at reasonable prices. He is SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than Tourneau and does all the little things right (like providing the old parts from your watch after service as sometimes the parts are valuable). Moreover, unilke Tourneau you don't have to automatically assume that your pieces are being shipped to NY or overseas to be worked on. read more

These guys have a sign in the window that says they are authorized to sell and service IWC watches, so when my Big Pilot stopped working I took it in. The lady who greeted me at the counter looked at the watch and asked if I needed a new battery. I told her the watch has an automatic movement and doesn't take a battery. "Oh, then it will be $400." Walked right out. If your store is authorized to sell this brand (they start around $5k) and you don't know the very basics of the watch, that's a problem with your product knowledge. If you then quote a price for repair without even looking at the movement to see what's wrong, that's a problem with your business model. Either way, I wouldn't recommend this shop. read more
