I hired Adam Levin to represent me for two felony charges I was facing. Position of marijuana with Intent to Distribute and possession of scheduled one or two with intent to distribute. He required me to pay $10,000 in full before he would move forward with representing me. During my time as his client he was determined to get a guilty plea out of me and was never working for me but rather against me. He communicated with the prosecutor from the beginning with the intention to have me serve time for these charges in which I didn't find out till a few days before my sentencing hearing. He played it off well in the beginning that he was trying to help me.He did not provide me the sentencing agreement documents filed with the court until two days before my court date and only because I had reached out to him and asked for them because I knew I was scheduled to appear in court the following week and hadn't heard from him at all. Once I received the documents, it was not what we had discussed or agreed to. I then asked him to provide me with all communication done between him in the prosecutor pertaining to my case. An email between them that was dated back to around the date I hired his representation, he expressed to the prosecutor that he only needed two months to work the case. This was a very serious matter I was facing and to see that he did not take this seriously and thought he only needed two months proved a lot. Very unethical and dishonest behavior. He didn't want a good outcome for me. During the time he was hired as my lawyer, not once did he file anything with the court in my defense or try to show any proof of doing any work towards my case. I live in Seattle and had to fly to Georgia on multiple occasions for this case. Several months before my sentencing hearing date (October 2023) I let him know I was in town and wanted to come to his office and meet with him. While speaking with him he became very defensive when my sister and I asked him any type of questions pertaining to my case and charges I was facing. He had a very rude demeanor to him and had no intention of doing anything to help me. When asked to show us what he has done on my behalf towards the case he had nothing to present to us. He spoke with a very disrespectful manner to both my sister and I. He has rolling his eyes and trying rush my sister and I out his office acting as if we were bothering him. Every time I asked him to try and speak on my behalf with the prosecutor he would tell me that's not a good idea and I wouldn't want to get the current deal off the table because I could face the maximum penalty if I made the prosecutor mad by not taking the current offer. And that going to trial was not a good idea because he didn't feel confident in fighting the case and I would then be facing the maximum time for these charges. Fast forward to my scheduled day in court (March 2024) I spoke with him for a few minutes in the lobby before court was in session. I let him know how I felt and that I didn't feel he had represented me in a way I deserve and in my best interests. He became very defensive and angry. I asked him why did he not file a motion to suppress the evidence ( information I had to get from another lawyer) Adam's response was "because you did not ask me to" I am the client in this matter. He is the lawyer, he is the one who practices law and not me. After this response I told him I was going to have to fire him as my lawyer and will be asking the judge to give me more time to find new legal representation. Adam was very angry and he could not hide the way he felt I could see it all over his face.He was determined to get me in jail and what I felt like ready to was basically celebrate with the prosecutor putting another man in jail. He knew from the beginning the way the officer handled this situation was not correct. I went in front of the judge this day in court and fired Adam. September2024 I hired another lawyer who showed up to court within hours of hiring her representation. After asking for a continuance she filed a motion to suppress the evidence and today I am walking free man and the case has been dismissed as of May 20th 2025 . I almost lost my freedom by dealing with Adam Levin as my lawyer. The years and years of stress I had to deal with become worth it in the end to get this case dismissed by another lawyer. I don't not recommend hiring Adam Levin or his law office to represent you. You will regret it . writing this review on based on my husband case and our experience with swingle law. We sent a letter to Adam Levin June 2024 three months after firing him to get a full $10,000 back and clearly explained the reasoning and his response was " I feel bad for you not because I agree with any of your claims regarding my representation of you, but because your in a tough spot and I am willing to refund $2500 to you if you sign and have a notarized documents saying that you will release me from any current future claim related to my representation of you" and which my husband did not accept or respond to his offer. He was never working in his favor. Stay away from this law office. If he did not know that filing a motion to suppress the evidence and being ready to fight for in court (like current attorney) could have had him walking a free man then he does not need to be practicing law , be an attorney and he did not care to investigate the case. Seems as if his actions were done on purpose.When asked he even said that he did not look into all the evidence or watch the videos pertaining to the case. Proving he did not care and he was just trying to get money and a guilty plea. The system knows when things are done incorrectly but will play with your life in hopes you don't catch it and that you will just take a guilty plea out of fear.
