Check in took a bit, there was a long line, and then we had to wait around 15 minutes for the staff to bring out our paddleboards from the boathouse to the launch spot (which of course ate into our 1 hour rental). I believe all of this could have been avoided if we booked ahead! Will definitely be back again next summer, because the spot and the gear is amazing, just hoping the service gets a bit better :)

Our objective was to see how often and how we would use a boat. After a season, we decided to buy a Cobalt boat. We had stayed in touch with Shane over the last year. Once we decided it was time to move forward, he worked with us to build the boat we wanted. The team at SBC has made it an easy transaction. We just received our new R6 Surf. From Shane in Sales to Tony at SkyLaunch and Tommy the Delivery Captain it has been a great experience. Tommy sent me a library of videos to review prior to delivery and then did the on water boat orientation and walk through. He took me through all the systems and how they worked. In general, SBC sells and services high-end boats. They provide a concierge type experience. There are always staff around to answer questions and help you with any issues. They are definitely a higher-end dealer and it is not the low cost place. However, they provide the service and facilities that goes along with the price. Highly recommended.

The staff was awesome at walking us through the safety information and made sure that we got the most for our rental time. They were super friendly and ensure that you are prepared for a fun day on the water. A few things to mention, they did not have rentals for tubes or wakeboards, so if you want to do those activities you'd have to buy your own before hand. The shop also advises you to be 30 mins early for your reservation, and I would recommend doing so, as the safety demo will ebb into your rental time.

I called in advance and politely asked if my morning reservation could be moved to the late afternoon. The manager told me they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate the change. While on the phone, I checked their website and saw that all time slots were available. When I pointed this out, she still refused to help and insisted that I either use the jet ski or lose my money, regardless of the weather conditions. Since they couldn't assist me, I decided to go to the location to avoid losing my money. I completed all necessary safety paperwork, but my credit card was declined multiple times for the $2500 damage deposit. The manager said she couldn't rent the jet ski without this deposit and offered me a gift card for a future rental or the option to cancel without a refund. I eventually managed to get my card to work and paid the security deposit, which took about 30 minutes. By the time I went to see my jet ski, the weather had worsened with rain, wind, and distant lightning. I decided it was unsafe to go on the water and returned to the manager to request the gift card she had offered earlier. She then claimed she couldn't issue it due to their 7-day cancellation policy, despite having offered it just 10 minutes earlier when my card wasn't working for the deposit. She reiterated that they had no weather exceptions and that I had to use the jet ski or lose my money. I expressed my safety concerns and refused to go on the water. I noticed that all the jet skis were still available at that time. The staff, especially the managers, were very rude. Ultimately, I didn't use the rental, and my money was wasted due to their poor management and customer service.

The boats you rent from this place are not big enough to handle the wakes comfortably. I know some could say that this is not the fault of the boat rental company, but to a great degree, it is. These boats, the size of them and their power, are more appropriate for smaller bodies of water where you have less wakes. They do not have enough power to cut through them. They are about as fast as a two person kayak going full speed. Yeah, that slow. Once I discovered how feeble and underpowered they are, knew I should not venture out far from the coast. So I hugged the shore to avoid the rough waters and went north. Once we got to the cove we turned around. We had brought food for a picnic, but the boat kept rocking so much we couldn't comfortably eat. So even parking and just hanging out wasn't pleasant. Five years ago, I rented a sporty pontoon boat from waterfront adventures. Took my wife out on a lunch date with it and had a wonderful experience. They no longer rent those, but that is my point of comparison. These electric boats are underpowered, unstable and for the price($300+), disappointing. We returned to the docks an hour before our time was up it was that unpleasant. BUT, they are warm with the wind covers down. Have comfortable seats. We made the best out of it and tried to enjoy ourselves. My 2 year old son enjoyed it, and that saved the experience.

Rented a boat for a few hours with friends…read more The boat was clean and easy to navigate. We did a loop of the north end of lake Washington to the 520 bridge and back in 3 hours. The boats are slow, but it makes for a nice relaxing ride. Parking can be a little hard to find in the area, find a spot that covers enough hours for your boat ride.

The whole crew on board was very attentive and friendly, they also had a decent selection for drinks and food. I would say it was a group of about 10-15 passengers and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, there were a few board games to choose from and great views from both the lower inside viewing area and the upper outside deck. The captain Jeff was a really great host and I could tell he genuinely loves doing these cruises, he enthusiastically showed us the inside of the cockpit after we told him it was our first time on a boat!

They got us back into the locker room quickly to pack up all of our stuff and get ready to head to the boats. After a quick safety demo we were out! It's so fun to bring along some snacks, refreshing beverages, and hang out on the lake on a nice day with friends. It was so cool seeing several sea planes landing and taking off! My only complaint is that two hours on the boat goes waaaay too fast. We rented two jetski for the day(4 hour rental) and a facilitator to help us(Osbourne, definitely…read morerecommend him). Because a few incident happened and he was super helpful on them. At first we got there a little late due to traffic, but Osbourne greeted us nicely and helped unload the jetski into the water and such. After we met up with our group at the beach, our first group got on and that's where the incident happened. They got too excited and turned the engine on where it was too shallow, and to no surprise it caught rocks into the propeller of the jetski, which caused that jetski to be unusable. Because of that, we could only use one jetski, but Osbourne was kind enough to contact his company to send out another jetski so our group don't have to be waiting on only one, also there was no extra charge at that point(tho I don't think that could always be the case depending on the damage on the jetski each have caused). But all in all, I'll definitely recommend paying the extra cost for a facilitator, also highly recommend Ohana Kai Watersport for rentals. Aside from the incident, we all had a good time and very much enjoyed the experience. Thank you Osbourne and Ohana Kai Watersports :)
