I was leaving Stone Mountain early in the morning when my navigation took me a completely different way, and somehow I ended up at the Starlight. I knew they had a flea market on the weekends, so I decided to stop and check it out. I'm so glad I did! Admission for buyers was 50 cents. I arrived early, vendors were still setting up, but there were already plenty of people selling their goods, and more vendors were arriving. And when I tell you they had EVERYTHING... they had everything! Clothes, shoes, food, detergent, electronics, car accessories, lawn equipment, school supplies, baby items--you name it! I only stayed about 30 minutes, but I had a great time browsing. You could tell some vendors regularly come out to sell their merchandise, while others were simply clearing out things they no longer needed. Either way, there were plenty of treasures to find. I'll definitely be back! I'm looking forward to spending more time browsing, supporting the vendors, and, of course, eventually coming back to actually a movie!

You get to see two movies one Friday at 8:30 and the other start at 10:30. The movie that played were great movies. We only made it for part of the 830 movie but our experience was to see the 1030 movie which was scream seven. It was great. I have never been to the drive-in movie theater and this experience is what I was looking forward to. They had a concession stand, but we didn't use it as we had our own food, but the vibe was amazing. Stay in your own vehicle and just put your feet up. Please turn your lights off when you go to the movie theater so we all can see the screen. I highly recommend trying this place.

My half-hearted mission on this trip were 1950s Pyrex mixing bowls. Last week I stopped by a store in Marietta that was selling a set of three for $155. Too rich for my blood, though perhaps not out of line. (I looked at the "Replacement" china/tableware website and saw individual bowls going for $119! That's crazy!) Anyway, here I found two Pyrex bowls in great shape -- different vendors -- each going for $20. I bought 'em. If you're looking for serious antiques you're not likely to find them at the Madison Flea Market. I noticed a number of booths selling Fiesta Ware. I can't comment about authenticity -- not something I collect -- but if you're in the market, might be worth a look.

How can anyone reserve a table if you NEVER answer the phone. I do not want a table out in the field I want a table under the shed/shelter part which you have to call to reserve. I do not recommend, it's too much of a hassle to get them to answer the phone, therefore I can only imagine how it would be if I was there as a seller and had an issue.

Everything is inexpensive - and thus really hard to resist! The vendors we interacted with were very nice. There are vendors selling an enormous range of products - from cosmetics to metal detectors to antique guns. There were a couple of people selling regular flea market stuff but most vendors were only selling specialized things like jewelry or music. There is a manager you can call, if you want to be a vendor there or have questions on where it is located. He's a nice guy named Junior (his wife runs the concession stand) and his phone number is 678-787-2975. They have lots of graveled parking. Their concession stand has ice cream and drinks and snacks. I think the concession prices were pretty reasonable (50 cents for chips, I think? I can't remember).

It's a bit of a haul from Atlanta so I got up early one weekend and made the hour drive over to La Vaquita. While I'll say, I enjoyed my trip, I don't know if I absolutely loved it or would tell people to run here. Parking was easy to navigate through and I got a spot easily. Now, inside (and outside) really has everything, BUT I will say, this is a flea market in every sense of the word. It has a lot of junk, I mean that in the best (and I suppose, worst) way. I just didn't find the majority of the items that were being sold to be the best quality or really be anything I needed or wanted to buy. The highlight here is the food. Whether it's the large food court or the random stands that are throughout the flea market. You should by no means leave here hungry or thirsty. I think this is a great place if you want knock-off items such as labubus and things like that, but if you're looking for quality materials/goods, I would not pick them up here.

Be mindful that some of the vendors both in the market and the food courts don't all accept credit cards so be sure to have cash on hand! In the market, the vendors have all sorts of merchandise from one of a kind handmade items , fresh fruit and nuts, to electronic and jewelry.
