Despite being an unnecessary and extra request, they were totally understanding and drafted a written arrangement that put me at ease. Once I identified the property, an offer was ready within hours. When I asked for modifications, the turnaround was same-day. They were also very friendly and pleasant to speak with. Alice provided timely and useful info on the uniqueness of this property, being a condo and typical investment property, whereas I was planning to treat it as a primary. They also had a local lender to recommend. Ultimately, the seller wanted more money than I was willing to pay, and I had some issues with financing, so I walked from the deal. The end result is that even though they didn't make a penny from me, they still gave me excellent service and attention. The house was staged perfectly but the band-aid fixes of serious damage, crappy contractor work and hand me down refurbished appliances are all making sense why she took our offer $25K less than what was listed! The aesthetics look pretty on the outside but the neglect and cutting corners on real issues are all seeping through! All of the things we questioned from day one are coming to fruition. She's a liar & a thief but from what I hear the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree! If you can help it, avoid any of the realtors from here. Especially if you're buying from them personally!
