History
Established in 2023.
Sweet Tomatoes Learning Center, Inc. started in Washington State when director, Kathleen Reed created the center to support students who need more play and creativity in their lives. She recognized that students should not have to sit in desks in traditional schools when they could be outside learning in nature. Kathleen has a JD and M.Ed. and is certified in multiple preschool and K-12 subjects. She returned to school to obtain her Masters Degree and Principal credentials when she realized her daughter who has special needs, needed a different kind of program than what was offered in the public schools. The program supports homeschoolers, preschoolers, and families and students who need more nature time in their lives! Sweet Tomatoes Learning Center, Inc. is a 501(c)3 and is proud to be a recipient of grants and donations that support the program- please inquire if you'd like to contribute to increase access to low-income students who need our type of educational option!
