Everything was clean and neat and there was a variety of goods for sale. The meats were reasonably priced for a meat market and attractively displayed. The fellow at the meat counter explained the different cuts of beef that I was not familiar with and answered all of my questions. He even offered to add a marinade to some that I bought. We also purchased some pastries which we enjoyed this evening. It is a place we will visit again.

Last year I was completely seduced by the Giant shrimp Michaladas at Potrillilos in Ardmore. They…read morewere a work of ART. Hubby & I stopped by there all the time for those custom made GIANT beers, with giant shrimps. All made by the very sweet Mexican Lady that worked at the "La Playa" bar inside. Nobody has EVER made them as good as "her". Then, one day, she was gone. No maz giant Shrimp Michaladas. My heart was broken. Recently, hubby came home with some Mexican take out that was amazballs. I ask him where he got it & he tells me; "oh yeah, BTW you know that lady that made the killer shrimp Michaladas you loved so much at Potrillilos, it's "her" she's got this taco truck now." I was like WTH hubby?! Why didn't you tell me! He's like I'm telling you now. Men. *Eye rolls* LOLOLOLOLOL So the next day I jump in my Batman Rover & we haul ass to Lake Murray so I can go see if it's indeed really "HER." I'm really ashamed to admit, I don't know "her" name I just know she makes the best Shrimp Michaladas I ever had & now she has a "La Taqueria truck"?! Drove up right next to the taco truck, back door was open, she was standing right in the back door too, soon as she saw me she jumped down to the ground & ran to my window & was like "Hey!!!!! It's so good to see you" !!! She knew who I was right away! We have been reunited with the Giant Shrimp Michaladas lady!!!! Yay!!! :)) I LOVE this lady that owns this new La Taqueria truck! She is very talented! I still don't know her name but she & "her" food is amazballs!!! So far, we have had the burritos, shrimp cocktail & the tacos. The burritos are our faves & the shrimp cocktail is BOMB! She has the most amazing chorizo burrito I have ever had! The Chorizo she uses is top quality. YUM! Her sauces are way better than any other place I have been. The green one is so fresh tasting & citrusy LOVE! It's my fave. The red one is not very spicy but it's amazing!!! Hubby LOVES it as he likes a mild sauce. She makes a lot of different meats so you can order anything with any of the meats or you can do a combo. The chicken & Chorizo burrito is YUMMY. The chicken is light, the chorizo is heavy, so a mix is a nice balance. If your hangry, the chorizo is your E-Ticket ride to flavor town & a nap. Lol The shrimp cocktail is Amazeballs. She makes them with nice size shrimp & serves them traditionally with a side of Valentina's, limes & crackers. I just eat them with my giant Michalada at home like she used to make them for me at Potrillilos. :)... I can't wait to return to try more of "her" menu! Hopefully with our support, this very talented lady with her new little "La Taqueria" food truck, will seduce the community with "her" irresistible succulent shrimp cocktails & authentic Mexican flavor profiles that have put us all under "her" tasty spell :)... Call in, take out, pick up. Every time I have been there, there has been a line down the street waiting to get food. Hopefully she will move to a brick & mortar soon so she can make us more of "her" amazballs Michaladas! (praying) To the owner: Congratulations on your new business señorita! I'm thrilled to find you again! Oh, how I have missed your big shrimp Michaladas! LOVE LOVE LOVE your burritos, your shrimp cocktails & your green sauce is the best one I have ever had mi amor. XOXO Will return soon! Highly highly recommend!
