I used to be lucky enough to get my haircut by a family friend for a very reasonable price and when she decided to pack it in I was lost as to where I should start going, the local barbers- a shabby job, Kerry Roberts in Camberley- shut down, Headcase barbers- disappointing... then I spotted Jacks had opened. No I have to admit when I first went I thought it was a little expensive £24 for a cut, but barber shops do seem to be putting up their prices nowadays and I can honestly say the quality of the haircut and experience is worth it. Firstly weekdays there's never a particularly long wait, the shop is light and clean, coffee and beer included in your cut and the two different chaps that have cut my hair really know what they're doing. The first time I visited he explained how the previous cut had clearly been rushed and how he would amend it over the next few cuts, and oh my it's looking great now, they don't rush at all and I'm much happier to wait a little if I know it's going to be a really good cut. The gents in there are so friendly, including you in their conversation and have a great knowledge of hairdressing and products. They've now started a loyalty scheme, every 4th cut is £10 off, I have also seen deals online too. Honestly can't fault this place! Oh and the names of the two chaps who've done mine are George and Paul!

The best and friendliest place in Windsor for a hair cut!…read moreI've been going here for years and always used to take my sons too. Now they're big enough to take themselves! A small but lively shop this place is nearly always busy so be patient. You could always read todays papers or watch the TV (sometimes in Italian) while you wait or join in the many conversations about various topics that take place. Everyone has always got an opinion. Back to business, you always get a decent haircut here and the prices are reasonable too. You nearly always get offered tea or coffee. Very few local people walk buy without sticking their head inside the door to say hi to Louie and the boys, which sometimes involves a racing tip or two. If your in Windsor and want a haircut then I highly recommend Mario's. Closed Sunday and Monday.

To reduce waiting time there's an appointment system in use which is a good idea because you know exactly when you are going to get your hair cut.
