He also let them run out the statute of limitations as well . I asked honest questions and didn't get honest answers back . He even kept stuff from the mediator that also hurt my case . If i knew what I know now i wouldn't have hired truitt law firm office to represent me legally . I don't appreciate being lied to or mislead . I was brought up with values , morals and ethics but I guess that doesn't apply in the real world anymore private or professionally with people . This is just half of the problems that i had with them at truitt law office . Also this is my opinion and experience with them at truitt law office.

After months of trying to work with insurance on our own, we reached out to firms that might be willing to take our case. We called a few different places and were not impressed with how we were treated.   My first conversation with Truitt gave me the feeling that I was being listened too, that they cared, and that they were the right team of people to help bring justice to our situation. In our first meeting, they made sure to set our expectations about the amount of time and effort that our case would require. We were confident in our choice from the very start because of the way we were treated in those first interactions.   For a whole year, Phil and the team worked tirelessly battling with different adjusters, documenting and spreadsheeting everything, and keeping my spouse and I updated/educated about the process. Truitt took the time to do everything correctly and the result was 2 settlements that we were both incredibly happy with. Because of Truitt, our case was able to close, we were made financially whole, and we were able to put our most traumatic life event firmly in the past.   Thank you, Phil, Richard, Sommer, and Carolyn, for all your empathy and dedication. Your work has allowed my family to move forward, and we will always be grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you.

Cathy served as a divorce attorney and also helped with my mom's estate, when she learned that she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Cathy remained professional and comforted my mother when dealing with her legal battles, as well as fought to help my mother in every way possible. When we lost my young mother in the summer of 2012, Cathy still rallied for us and helped us in every way she could, knowing our situation. My sister was about to turn 18, and I in my early 20s, and this was clearly a situation we never expected to handle ourselves. She also shed light on things that we needed to take care of and without such insight, our mom's legal issues would have been a mess. I should also mention Josh that helped Cathy with our case(s) and was also helpful and responsive when we came to them with questions. We sincerely appreciate the help of Christoff and Christoff attorneys and will forever be grateful for making our tragic situation that much easier. I will recommend Cathy for as long as she is in practice!

Defendant was a month late on making g his first agreed payment and our attorney contacted him. Finally got payment after paying our attorney another $150. We never received another payment after 4 months. I contacted our attorney and asked what we could do next and was told that we could file another motion. About a month later we got a notice from the Whitley county court telling us our attorney quit without any notice. I tried emailing them and nothing. No reason why they quit. They told the court that after mediation that it was my attorney that he was making his payments to us. We received one payment in 6 months

I checked reviews prior to hiring an attorney to represent us and didn't come across anything that…read morewould lead me to believe I would have a miserable experience by hiring an attorney with this firm. I had an initial meeting to be quoted a price for our case. I was quoted a specific amount for guardianship to be filed and hired an attorney from this firm, paid in full in advance, etc. This was to cover all expenses, including hiring a guardian ad litem to cover my child. My child has level 3 Autism and is non-verbal, among a multitude of other diagnoses. The initial hearing was set prior to my child's 18th birthday which I found out ONLY from a document that was mailed to my child from the court. My attorney NEVER told me when we were scheduled for court, EVEN after I sent an email to inquire since I hadn't heard anything. Unfortunately, we ended up in the emergency room on the initial court date and it had to be cancelled. This was communicated to the attorney. The hearing was set for another date which in the meantime required a court order to get a psychiatric admission until our next court hearing was to take place due to an extremely violent outburst with property destruction and aggressive behavior. I was told verbally when the hearing was and never received anything in writing. Then, I called prior to the hearing to verify and was charged to speak to a paralegal/assistant to find out when we had court. Then, our court hearing took place and the attorney and GAL had to go back and discuss the case privately with the magistrate. I was informed that "this happens all the time" and awarded only temporary guardianship since my child wasn't served. Unfortunately, the reason for the temporary guardianship was ONLY due to my child not being served as he was now over the age of 18 which requires him to be served. Had the attorney known the statute and/or paid attention to detail, all would have been done on the initial hearing date because he could have easily had my child served due in his inpatient stay. I then had an additional bill around $450 with everything that occurred to date (and only temporary guardianship). Fast forward to February, there was nothing filed for permanent guardianship so now we would have a gap in guardianship which could cause issues with the unpredictability of our child. So, I called and asked to speak to a manager because clearly the attorney didn't have his shit together. I was told one of the owners would reach out. The next day, I received, an email with a new petition to sign and a hearing date which was 15 or so days AFTER expiration of our initial temporary guardianship. In court, there was NOT a proposed order drafted so it had to be submitted before the magistrate could sign anything. It was for be submitted on that day along with our notorized oaths. The oaths and proposed order were then submitted but the oaths were not notorized (even though the GAL saw us sign and could have notorized it). I was told by our attorney that he submitted it because he just wanted to get it in instead of waiting. Nothing was signed that day because the magistrate's clerk was out for the week. I called the following Monday and the magistrate was out. Due to the importance of having this done, his clerk messaged him and got the order signed. So, I took off of work early and went to the courthouse to get a certified copy of the guardianship on Monday. This could not be issued due to no notorized oaths, an issue that could have been prevented had the attorney known that it is required. So, I called their office again, requesting a manager and was told one of the owners would reach out the following day. So, I went to get the oaths (emailed to me) notorized and the one listed for me had my husband's name in one of the three locations that lists our name on the document. I had to call and have a corrected copy sent to me so the bank could print it and we could get it notorized. That was done quickly, thanks to Karli. Then, I walked to the courthouse to once and for all get a certified copy of the guardianship only to find out that my attorney also hadn't filed a Letter of Guardianship which MUST accompany the order signed by the magistrate. Fortunately, the clerk filled it out so I was able to wrap up this six month process! I would never recommend hiring this firm for any type of guardianship case. The owners don't care enough to address issues cause by their staff.
