While I understand pain management is a rather volatile relationship with potentially combative and angry patients (obviously it's not fun dealing with chronic pain); these guys really do make it worse.
Dr. Chang himself is great for the most part; wonderful bedside manner and soft skills, he is late to appointments often but I'm pretty sure that's because he spends extra time with patients that need it.
Unfortunately he is surrounded by the most incompetent and hostile admin/medical staff I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. There is literally ONE person who is not terrible (a supervisor); other than him the front desk staff is EXTREMELY hostile. They're rude, aggressive and frankly borderline cruel. They're also terribly incompetent and rarely pass on messages, return phone calls and just genuinely seem to have no interest in helping patients.
Pain management is an inherently volatile relationship; with fairly explosive ups and downs. The patients in this field are some of the most vulnerable in the medical industry and DESERVE a competent team of professionals who treat them with caring and respect.
You won't find that here friends. read more
