Our teen arrived unwell and we asked if she should wear a mask but were told no (headache, nausea, post-flu), mentioned it repeatedly, but there was no basic empathy or accommodation--no temp check, no relief suggestions, and loud talking continued despite requests for quiet. When our teen felt like vomiting and nearly passing out, the response felt dismissive. The appointment ended abruptly after Staci got upset, stormed out, and left us with no med plan or next steps. Our kid ended up throwing up in the waiting area with no follow-up help or call afterward. We own that our teen was moody (sick + ADHD), but we expected better de-escalation skills, empathy, and flexibility--especially from a specialist in teen ADHD. Lacked strong interpersonal skills and neurodiversity awareness in tough moments. Wouldn't recommend. Look at her google reviews as other families had a similar experience. Kristi the other nurse only works one day a week and the other one left. There's no other "medical" staff so you'll likely be stuck with Staci and no alternatives. We have never seen a single person there in the photo she has of her practice.

Before that time, I was a patient of a large medical practice in Issaquah for over a decade. I've always tried to eat well and stay fit through exercise. So it has been frustrating that the story I've received every year at my annual checkup from my primary care physician at this large medical practice is the same: some of your biomarkers are higher than ideal and we'll just watch them. No further investigation, no analysis of underlying causes, no next steps at all. After I saw Dr Woodall, I learned for the first time that there were steps that I could take to address the underlying causes of my high biomarkers. The steps that I have taken include both medicines as well as nutritional supplements based on scientific knowledge and lab testing of vitamins and nutrients my body is not absorbing well. And I'm confident that the steps that I have taken will help me stay fit, active, and healthy as I move into an older stage of life. The doctors of the practice take a holistic approach seeking the root causes of ailments rather than merely addressing symptoms as seems to be the norm for many medical practices these days due. We have had a fantastic experience here. We love Dr. Ryan's philosophy. She's patient and sweet toward our daughter and thorough in her assessments. Our appointments have always been comfortable. She never makes us feel rushed. All of our questions are always answered fully and substantiated by up-to-date evidence-based research. We have utilized the patient portal for questions between visits and receive an answer the same day. Making an appointment is really easy to do online, though we do have to plan a few weeks out for wellness visits which feels reasonable to us. We can't speak highly enough of Dr. Ryan and her warm approach towards our daughter. We highly recommend her.

The billing department was extremely rude--they even disconnected the call while making excuses about why my question wasn't covered under the well-child visit. My son has had documented allergies since he was six months old, and it's clearly recorded in his pediatric history. During his two-year well-child check, we requested a referral to an allergy clinic--something we already knew he needed. However, we were later charged, with the claim that the doctor "diagnosed" his allergy, despite us already having this information. Even the provider mentioned that I could directly contact the referral department. Since we were already at the appointment, we asked the doctor about the process for referral. Ironically, the referral never went through--their response was that it was "accidentally closed." I had to call the referral department myself to get it submitted again. The billing department's explanation? If I had asked the referral department myself, there wouldn't be a charge, but because the doctor took time to submit it, I now have to pay for it. This isn't the first time I've faced such issues with them. I've decided to move away from Allegro, and I strongly recommend looking for a better pediatric clinic to avoid similar frustrations.

My son was in excruciating pain and I was trying to tend to him and get all info relayed they needed but it seemed like there was a lack of urgency. I noticed this with woman next to me also checking in and she was on verge of vomiting. But I was trying to hear right next to her. Maybe its the plexi glass but seemed like they could have spoken louder at checkin which would have helped move it along and get us all to treatment quicker. Dr Moen js 10 stars. Literally the best doctor I've encountered ever. My son broke his wrist and she was able to operate on him in Seattle then cast him in Issaquah a couple days later. She was too Notch and patient and covered most our questions before we even would ask them. She was also quick and efficient and has put my son on a fast track to recovery. There was confusion only from mychart where we didnt realize we needed to go to imaging first. But she alone is the reason I would give Swedish Issaquah a 10. The gift shop reminded me of a high end hallmark boutique. I could have stayed in there for hours. The starbucks was stocked and moved fast. But I understand things happen- that isn't even why I'm writing a poor review. Now there is some highlights at this hospital and I'm going to name them because they deserve it- unfortunately there was a nurse and cnas who ruined the whole experience. I will name them as well Upon check in Beth was the sweetest receptionist- she was reassuring and kind Once checked in and going thru all the pre op stuff I was lucky to have Chelsea. Chelsea was nice, comforting and fun. After my 9 hour surgery I was put on the 3rd floor where I was initially pretty out of it and in pain and nurse Olga helped with that right away to do her best to make me comfortable. Unfortunately, Olga had to leave for the night and that is when I experienced the worst nurse I have ever had. Nurse Emma. She talks nicely but she doesn't care about the patient. I was in extreme pain with medicine wearing off and my body had been through a lot... she told me she couldn't offer me any more pain meds and something about me going home. Which was the last thing on my mind when I was in such pain. She kept gaslighting me- in a very sweet voice mind you- I was in the most pain of my life. (And I've had 2 vaginal deliveries an ectopic pregnancy surgery and kidney stones etc) I was having extreme shooting pain and something wasn't right. She told me, "it's okay to be in pain" my first night in the hospital after a 9 hour major surgery by the way. Maybe she gets off on watching people be in pain? I'm not sure what she had against me. Come to find out- she hasn't checked my drain at all. And it was full. Filling back inside of me. And that was the reason for my pain. Thank god for the lead nurse- a nice Indian woman who treated me with dignity and respect. (Maybe Ferisha?) Who helped fixed the problem and even gave me a popsicle haha Emma told me she couldn't schedule narcotics when I asked about her checking regularly instead of me waking to intense pain and maybe not- but I knew my doctor wanted me comfortable and compared to the other nurses she was the only one who would not regularly come in to check or offer. She would straight up say she can't give me dilated (sp).. and okay she can give me 5mg of oxy and then in 2 hours give me 5 more instead of 10mg every 4. She treated me like a criminal. Or drug addict. Guess who never came back after the 2 hours. She was absent. After a 9 hour major surgery she was absent during the evening and when I was in pain she simply did not care and maybe even liked it. As soon as Olga came in for her morning shift she immediately changed things and made sure I was receiving pain medication. She gave me dilated and would check on me regularly. She is a nurse who cares. I learned this hospital trip you have to advocate for yourself- even if you feel bad pressing the nurse button. I requested to not have Emma again. Although it made me feel really bad for whoever would get her. And my doctor was so mad that I was denied pain relief. She said she was going to say I should have the tap administered type whenever I am uncomfortable but she trusted the nurses. Big mistake- it really was the worst time of my life. A nightmare. I ended up staying 2 more nights in the hospital. I was lucky enough to have Kristina the next 2 nights and Olga during the day again. Both are competent and caring nurses. Olga does a lot and doesn't have much support. Olga advocated for me and I felt overall very supported by her. Thankyou Olga. Kristina tolerated me well. And was very willing to get ice and make sure I was comfortable. My favorite staff member? Kaili. Who is a nurse but was working as an assistant my first full day. She brings energy, joy, care, fun, helpfulness and consideration. I wish I had her every day I was there! I wish she was my friend! Ha. She was amazing. She keeps your water filled and helps you. Response time via nurse button isn't timely- and they will scold you if your pee isn't clear enough and that you need to drink more water but keeping your water cup filled is something you have to advocate for constantly. I also was shocked that most new to me nursing assistants didn't even know what I was there for. Like no one is reading the summaries between each shifts... communication and collaboration and overall care is lacking in some of the staff of the 3rd floor. Overall, I won't choose this hospital again for surgery and post op care. Their ER is good tho. Shoutout to Pete

Fantastic Doctor, Absolute Administrative Disaster…read more I am writing this with a heavy heart because Dr. Maplethorpe is genuinely one of the kindest and most attentive physicians I have ever encountered. However, the office operations at Lakeside Family Physicians are so incompetent that I would never recommend this practice. I spent five months trying to get a simple new patient visit claim processed. The office staff repeatedly attempted to file with the wrong insurance provider. Despite my efforts to correct them, they were incredibly unhelpful and provided zero updates. Ultimately, I had to coordinate with my insurance company's care team to resolve the issue myself because the office staff could and seemingly, would not handle it. Furthermore, their communication is abysmal. They canceled an appointment without calling to confirm or even leaving a voicemail--we only found out when we got to the office and were met by a barking dog in the lobby filled and Maggie telling us it had been canceled. I have genuinely nothing nice to say about the office manager, Maggie. Her lack of aptitude forced me to do her job for her by coordinating with my own insurance care team to get this matter pushed through and finalized. It is a disservice to Dr. Maplethorpe to have the administrative team "running" the business side of the practice so abysmally. If you choose to see Dr. Maplethorpe, tread carefully and make sure to comb through your records with a fine tooth comb; the front office simply cannot be trusted to follow through.
