It's great to still have businesses that do things the old-fashioned way with integrity and care been using Schwartz Glass for over 20 years one of the best sources for glass window repair anything glass related.     Scammers - beware of this company. Your experience may vary but here was mine: I have a large glass patio sliding door that needs repair. I called them to get an estimate. They said "we'll have two guys there at 10:30am to look at it." Great. At 9:55am I get three missed calls while I'm in a meeting, I finally answer and an angry voice (Mike) tells me their guys are downstairs. I tell them we agreed on 10:30am and they're 35 minutes early, but ok I will run home. The survey then goes smoothly. They send me an estimate 48 hours later. But it's just a word doc with a price (an "estimate") and no details on tax, warranty, installation timeline, what affects final price etc. I ask for clarification on all these items and they won't confirm anything in writing. Finally "Mike" calls me and he's angry that I've asked so many questions. The "estimate" is for $3,690, not a small job. But Mike can't be bothered to answer questions about what services Swartz is providing for that amount. It is clear to me that Mike does not intend to honor the estimate and is going to half-ass the job and then demand additional payment. What happens if they do poor work? Well they never provided a warranty in writing, so I'd be out of luck. Don't give these guys your business.

    Needed a screen + frame replaced in our apartment. Went down and Mike helped me get dialed on measurements. Had it ready the next day, cost was very reasonable, and it fits like a glove. Now we can open the window without bugs!

    This window was falling off the top hinge and it was impossible to find anyone who could replace…read morethe part. Other folks told me they couldn't do it, or that I should contact the window manufacturer.. things that were basically not helpful. Olwin's folks came out to check the window, figured out which part I needed, got it ordered and installed within about a month. Thank you for giving me the peace of mind when opening this window!

    UPDATE: after posting this review, the owner Alex called me and finally gave me the warranty…read moreinformation. Now, two weeks later, the windows are fixed and work is completed at acceptable level of quality, as far as I can tell. Still, no accountability was taken for the saga detailed below, the damage to my personal items was not addressed, and it was an overall poor customer service experience with management. Original review follows. TLDR: Multiple windows cracked immediately on installation and I am getting ghosted when I ask for warranty information. I am very disappointed to be writing this review but I feel I have no other course of action at this time besides reporting this business, which I will be forced to do if I do not hear back about the issues detailed below. I contacted Olwin on March 31 about repairing fogged windows. I was encouraged by the positive reviews I saw on Google and Yelp. The experience started out great - my point of contact (Al) was timely and professional and willing to meet me at a mutually agreeable price. I asked for information about their warranty and was told it would be sent over via email. On April 2, a technician visited to measure the windows. After this visit, I paid a 50% deposit on the services. On Tuesday, April 14, two technicians arrived with the new glass. At this time, I realized that I had not yet received the warranty information and requested it again as the technicians began the installation. Once they finished downstairs and started on the upstairs windows, I went to look at the new glass and noticed one of the windows was cracked. The technicians apologized and told me they would inform management and return another day to replace the cracked glass. The rest of the window installation proceeded without issue. Once the technicians left, I called Al and reiterated my ask for the warranty, more pressing now that the installation was nearly complete and that one of the windows cracked immediately upon installation. I also raised other issues that occurred on the installation day, including accidental damage to some of my personal property, and the installation team leaving me with a street-facing window that wouldn't lock. Al was apologetic and assured me he would raise it with his manager Olivia. He said he wasn't authorized to share the warranty information himself but that he would remind Olivia to share it. He asked me to detail the issues in writing so that Olivia could review, which I did. Issues escalated from here. On repeated requests to share both the manufacturer's warranty AND installation warranty, Olivia made mention of ONLY the manufacturer's warranty, explaining that they had not yet received it from the factory, and repeatedly told me that the manufacturer's warranty did not cover broken glass. She ignored several requests for information on the installation warranty, which is advertised on the company website. She also failed to address any of the other issues that I raised. On Thursday, April 16, a technician arrived to replace the cracked window downstairs. All the while I was asking Olivia to contact me or send information on the installation warranty. She ignored these requests and demanded the second payment. Despite not receiving the warranty information, I submitted the second payment bringing the total payment to ~80% of the original quote. When the technician finished, I went down to look and noticed that a DIFFERENT window installed on Tuesday was now cracked. I pointed this out to the technician, who confirmed that it was an installation error. At this point, I am getting ghosted by Olivia/management. I have sent several messages to no response and I have no assurances that the agreed services will be completed, nor that I will ever receive the warranty information. I'm at a loss and really frustrated by my experience. It's worth noting that I had positive experiences with all technicians that visited my house, and with Al. My issue is with Olivia and the rest of management who I have made every effort to communicate with to no avail.
