I was there one time and a dog leaped up on to his owner's lap and then stepped down on the bench. And got his toe bean STUCK in the hole in the bench! It was about 10 minutes before we were able to get the dog out of there. It was a scary moment for us, and a painful one for the dog. My own dogs didn't know what was going on, and went to the other side of the yard and watched cautiously. They were sad that the dog was in pain. I am so glad we were able to get the dog released from the hole in the bench !!! I hope they either cut wood to cover the holes in the bench or get new benches that aren't dangerous like this to dogs with a certain sized toe pad! This dog was a doodle of some kind. Since we'd never been to Kansas before, we were looking for something unique to do over a long weekend. After reading so many great reviews, we decided to visit Diamond Springs Ranch for a true Kansas prairie horseback riding experience, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like customers and more like guests in someone's home. The hospitality was genuine, the service was warm and welcoming, and every part of the experience was thoughtfully done. Logan, thank you for creating such a special place! Our family had an amazing time. A huge thank you to Luke behind the bar for the great conversation and hospitality, Jessica for leading an incredible horseback trail ride through the beautiful prairie, and Louie (I hope I got your name right!) for serving some of the best smoked BBQ we've had. It was absolutely delicious! As if the horseback riding wasn't enough, we also got to feed the three adorable Highland cattle, which was such a fun and memorable experience. They also offer glamping on-site, and after seeing the property, it's definitely on our list for a future visit. If you're looking for an authentic Kansas experience with incredible people, beautiful prairie scenery, amazing food, and unforgettable horseback riding, I can't recommend Diamond Springs Ranch enough. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip, and we'll definitely be back!

So after maybe 5-10 minutes there were multiple dog "fights" and disagreements between all sorts of dogs. I thought that was odd. Until a little boy noticed there were hundreds of treats on the ground along the fence line between the large dogs & small dogs. Literally the whole fence line. We tried to pick some up, but the boy & his family left as soon did I. Please people, dogs FIGHT over treats all the time with unfamiliar settings and strange dogs/people. I called the humane society and animal control, but neither cared. I'm not sure if it was malicious or stupid. Someone did it for a reason. So I will never return to this place, even if it's 5 minutes away. And I would NOT RECOMMEND taking your dogs either.

We went at 6 PM on a Tuesday when it was quite hot out, and we're very happy to find that the park was completely open with no other dogs. There was no shade for adults within the dog area unless you sat on the cement, but there was a set of tables with an overhang just outside of the park. We were very happy to find that there were several water stations and even a mini pool that we were able to sell for our pups to cool down in! The only thing that it's not therefore, was the fact that there was glass shards in the dirt areas from it being on a landfill. We just made sure to keep our pups in the grass area and didn't have any issues, though we did notice a lot of shards in the various dirt areas. This place was huge though with plenty of room in both the large and dog areas!
