One of the things that made the trip memorable was staying at Taos Desert Oak. This is an authentic Adobe home was in ruins before it was restored and saved from demolition. It is downtown and walking distance to some great shops and restaurants. It is on a quiet street and blends in perfectly with the New Mexico landscape.
