Making the decision to move mom to assisted living was a long time coming and difficult decision to…read moremake. The decision was made for us when she fell and had a concussion. We were referred to Legacy Navigation and they found Copper Springs for us. I used to work in hospice, massaging patients and visited many assisted living facilities throughout the Treasure Valley and in Ontario, Oregon. Sad to say, there are some out there I would not care to see again. The facility would be dirty, worn or poorly circulated. Staff would walk around with boredom, frustration or anger on their faces. Residents looked bored and unhappy. My brother and his wife visited Copper Springs before mom and me. After their tour with Mike, the Owner & Director, they called me so excited and pleased and couldn't wait for mom to see the place, too. Mom loved it and couldn't believe it was for real - not for her. This is a woman who doesn't throw the word 'love' around very much and she kept telling us how much she loves it and wanted to live there. In the next few weeks, I worked with Mike and his staff to get the paperwork done, select mom's room and get her moved in. From the very first day, as we were moving in residents came and introduced themselves and invited mom to their tables for lunch and dinner. She's been living there for 3 weeks now and each time I ask her, she still says she loves it. We watch her participate in almost all the activities (her being an introvert - this was so surprising) and take the facility van to stores. When spring returns, she's looking forward to some of the fun local excursions. We are so happy we chose Copper Springs to be mom's new home. Every time I visit, she looks so happy and has so much to share - her sense of humor is back, too. I have not seen her this happy in many years. I'm getting to know the staff, too and get such a great vibe from them. Thanks to Mike, Brandon, TJ, Kaylee and Hannah!

If I could leave negative stars I WOULD! I worked at copper springs for 4+ years and sadly the new…read moremanagement/ owners truly do not care about the residents or their well being. Multiple areas have mold and management continues to ignore it although it clearly is affecting the quality of life for these poor residents. They sadly continue to raise pricing without improving quality of care. The ED, Mike Crowley, is a dictator. If you have any opinion different from his, he will fire you. He under staffs his buildings and expects ONE person to care for a whole building for AL. One person to pass medications for all residents in all the buildings during NOC shifts and he doesn't care to come in to help his team. Honestly Copper Springs should be shut down IMMEDIATELY.

Regina, the agent accepted testing of our homes well and septic that did not meet contract requirements, on our behalf without allowing us to see them. Later we were told that she did not have them. As a result of this we were not able to require new testing which would have shown that 1) the well pump did not work and the water was contaminated. Per Idaho labs the water is not safe to consume for humans or animals. 2) the documents submitted as a septic test was not a test at all. A test was never requested. If testing would have been done it would have showed that the leach lines are failing and the septic MUST be replaced. We later learned that Regina agreed to waive our final walk through of the property per the sellers request. Had we been given this right we also would have seen that the chain link fencing surrounding the pastures ( property was advertised as "fully fenced") was laying on the ground, and was previously only being held up by t-post which the sellers took. The solution to this is really very simple. Our attorney has requested that a claim be filed with Regina and her Broker E&O insurance to have these items fixed. A demand letter was issued with a 10 day requirement to respond yet they have not responded. As a result of this our home doesn't even meet basic requirements for occupancy.

There comes a time in your own life when you have to deal with hospice for a loved one. I have been…read morethrough it with my Dad and my oldest brother. Now it was time to see my Mom got the best possible care in the final stages of her life. Through the hospital we were hooked up with Keystone Hospice after efforts with palliative care were not enough anymore for Mom's emphysema. They were at the hospital quickly and talking to us about our options. Mom was in pretty rough shape, but she wanted to be home to die and once we relayed that to Keystone, they were on it. It took 24 hours to stabilize her enough for the ambulance ride from Boise to Nampa, but they got her home. Keystone supplied a bed, bedside table, wheelchair, potty-chair, and everything we needed to keep Mom clean and comfortable. A team of four people came to the house before Mom arrived and trained me on medications she would need and when to administer them. A case worker, social worker and religious support were all there to welcome Mom home along with a nurse. The days passed and Keystone never lost touch. At one point Mom complained about the air bed being more uncomfortable than the bathtub. I called and asked for another option, and they were there in a less than two hours with a foam mattress that made Mom happy. Mom saw her 89th birthday, which was a goal of hers. I had three more beautiful days with her before she passed one morning. A nurse was at my door within an hour and a few minutes and took care of Mom getting her ready for the funeral home. Losing a loved one is horrible no matter how you slice it, and I cannot thank Keystone enough for their magnificent work before, during and after hospice. These amazing people are your go-to in the Treasure Valley.
