Great trail, mostly shaded for pedestrians, joggers, cyclists. We rented bikes in downtown Greenville at Reedy Rides ($25 for 1/2 day/4 hrs) and made the 20+ mile trek. Plenty of room for everyone on the trail; everyone was polite and accommodating. There's a market/ deli along the trail that was popular, w delicious salads, sandwiches, beer and wine. Lots of outdoor picnic tables and dog friendly water dishes. The biking trail was a highlight

We parked at Cleveland Park by the Zoo and hopped in the trail from there. The path is well maintained and runs through some gorgeous natural areas combined with tons of cafes, breweries, ice cream shops and so much more. We cycled the trail to Travelers Rest, where we got some coffee and a lunch at Tandem, then grabbed drinks and snacks at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe in the way back. Yes, it gets busy. Yes, people are occasionally inconsiderate and walk clumped in groups taking up the whole width of trail. Yes, cyclists once in a while forget to say "on your left". However, once you get past downtown it clears up and is a wonderful ride. If you want a longer ride take the trail around the lake at Furman College. Also, if you're easily annoyed by pedestrians, park at Unity Park to start the trail. This is easily one of my favorite trails.

Today was the first time we have ever been at this grocery, cafe and bakery at Swamp Rabbit Trail. Judy works there and she was so delightful!! She gave us a very warm welcome and told us all about their grocery goods, all kinds of cheeses, wine, fruits, vegetables, baked goods and more. She even gave us the walking trail map to guide us through this beautiful long trail. We had a picnic lunch here too and the turkey pesto sandwich was huge so Carly and I shared this sandwich. This place also has an area for kids. It's definitely family friendly! This was such a great find!!! We had so much fun walking the trail today. We will definitely go back and bring our friends and family! Judy thank you so much for the bread and your kindness and generosity. You made our day!!! We loved your enthusiastic spirit!!!

Wonderful trail right in the middle of downtown Greenville. It is part of the Fall Park on Reedy and old home of Furman University.

A gift to any exercise enthusiast. It runs from Downtown Greenville into Traverse Restaurant. The later, true to its name is a great town with a plethora of eateries. However, you will encounter multiple scenic and dining spots along the trail. As of Nov. 2020, I only did only half the trail as it is under renovation (Downtown section), so I am giving it and advance five stars based on the improvements they are making. Reedy Falls is a must. Imagine water falls in the heart of the city at Cleveland Park. My traverse was nestled in woods. Notice the funny placards and pieces of history along the way.

Great walk spot that runs all through downtown and so many other cool spots. There are coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, etc. along the way and my favorite part about the trail is that you don't have to go to one specific spot to hop on. There are many spots that lead you directly to the trail and its very easily accessible. It glides along the children's park downtown Greenville and this past weekend when I took my nephew, he loved exploring the park along the way. It is great for walks, bikes, runs and I have taken hoverboards, wheelchairs, and strollers along the trail and it is not bumpy and very smooth for all types of wheels. Love the Swamp Rabbit trail!

Loved biking the trail today, lots of shady areas along the path were a welcome site in this hear. Path is wide and cross-streets safely marked. Rented bikes from Reedy's downtown. Highly recommend them. Great bikes, reasonably priced.

    Sample of what to expect.

Plenty to see! What a pleasant bike path. A perfect example of why bringing your bikes on vacation can be so rewarding. Most of the trail provides some shade, the paths are nicely paved and well-kept, and it runs through some excellent urban and forested scenery. We spent nearly two hours on the trail and area around it. Loved it!

I haven't biked in 20 years. We rented bikes from Sunrift Adventures, which is where the trail starts. I think it was $30 for 6 hours, which is about how much time you'll need to go down the trail and back, if you decide to make a few stops along the way for food and drink, and you'll want to! The trail is pretty flat and there is lots to see as you ride along, including a beautiful college campus. There is a cafe with brick oven pizza, coffee, and smoothies and as you go further down the trail towards Greenville there is a Mexican restaurant which is phenomenal, kid friendly and has delicious food and drinks

A group of us ride bikes here almost every weekend. It gets very busy through Falls Park on the weekends so if you are planning a longer ride toward Furman University or Travelers Rest I would recommend parking at the free lot at the corner of Reedy View Dr and River St. The River St Parking Garage is also convenient to this departure point. As you travel north on the trail there is a very slight uphill grade that you will hardly notice. The nice thing about that is that when you return back toward downtown Greenville your tired legs will appreciate the downhill. Make sure you stop at Swamp Rabbit Cafe for a snack, refill your water bottle, or use the restroom. Furman University also has restrooms right off the trail and a Starbucks in the bookstore. Travelers Rest has many options for dining and don't forget to check out Sunrift Adventures to stock up on outdoor gear. Alternatively you can park at Greenville Zoo / Cleveland Park but it gets very crowded on the weekends as well. From this point south gets hilly so you may need a bike with gears.

There are several…read morebeautiful spots to sit and relax, especially near the Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville, and the bridge is a wonderful place to stroll while enjoying the soothing sound of the river and waterfall. What makes it even more meaningful is the history behind it. Beginning in the late 1700s, water-powered industries clustered along the Reedy River, including trading posts, grist and corn mills, a sawmill, an ironworks, the Gower, Cox and Markley Coach Factory, a paper-making factory, and an armory. A century later, textile and apparel mills were established along its banks. Unfortunately, the mills discharged waste and excess dyes into the river, and the Reedy began to suffer from the spoils of progress. By the mid-20th century, downtown Greenville's stretch of the river was so severely polluted by upstream textile mills that the once pristine and popular falls became desolate and unsafe. Seeing how beautiful and vibrant the area is today makes you truly appreciate the restoration and revitalization efforts. It's peaceful, scenic, and rich with history -- definitely a must-visit when you're in Greenville. Cheers!

The ballpark is over 20 years old, but looks very modern with open concourses and plenty of concession stands. There's even a Green Monster in left field to replicate Fenway Park in Boston. Unlike other ballparks, there is no seating beyond the outfield for fans to catch home run balls. Not sure if all minor league ballparks are doing this, but the netting is extended the full length of the outfield, severely limited chances for fans to get any foul balls. Prices for some of the concessions are highly reasonable compared to other ballparks, but the food I tried really wasn't of good quality. The game I had tickets to got rained out, but it was fairly easy to get a replacement ticket for the doubleheader the following day. They had a special Marvel superheroes day for the game attended against the Asheville Tourists, so players wore Captain America jerseys and costumed characters were in the stands to take pictures and participate in promotions. They also gave away a special X-Men comic book. The team store was quite overpriced without any budget merchandise options, but it's a trend I've been seeing at quite a few minor league ballparks. Overall, it was a fun day out at the ballpark, so if you like baseball, I'd recommend a Greenville Drive game at Fluor Field.
