Bathrooms were actually pretty clean throughout the event, so no complaints there. My biggest issue was the flow of people. The outside signage could've been a lot better because it wasn't always clear which entrance you were supposed to use. Inside, the concession area felt overcrowded and poorly laid out. You had the entrances, bathrooms, and like four different vendors all in the same area with long lines everywhere. It created a bottleneck and made it harder to move around than it needed to be. Not a bad venue overall, but they could definitely improve the layout and signage for larger events.

The prices have gone up and the quality has dropped way down which is crazy. They have closed blueline which only left one bar on the concourse, with only one bartender which makes for a long wait. The bar upstairs is inconvenient and it takes the gentleman working in it and long time to make a simple drink, The last hockey game i attended was sellout night and it was like a mad house, the bar was ridiculous, i guess i can only be hopeful that they will get the other bar back open soon and that the service gets better.

We…read morehad always loved taking our parents and grandchildren to Alabama Theatre and to Carolina Opry. Sadly, our parents have been long gone and the grandchildren are now grown and out on their own. However, just my hubby and I still made the long drive to Myrtle Beach again. We found out that Greg Rowles now had a show of his own and a new theatre-- The Legacy Theatre. AND we read that the Greg Rowles show had one of the highest ratings of all shows in the Myrtle Beach area! Amazingly, although they were rated the best, they offered greatly reduced ticket prices for all newcomers... which was great! We showed up almost an hour early not knowing the time we would need to get through Myrtle Beach traffic. Once in the lobby, we saw the employees form a large circle. They were all holding hands -- when they invited us to join them. Then they brought up individuals who were sick, or ill, or just needing prayer, Mr Rowles led them in prayer. They prayed for their show and all of their attendees. Mr Rowles offered words of encouragement and thanks to his employees. It was a very moving experience. Before being seated we were able to purchase delicious, freshly baked cookies (sold in individual cellophane bags), freshly made coffee and amazing hot chocolate from the refreshment center. Everyone on the team felt like they were our long gone family members. Watching the show, I found myself laughing, crying, praising God and oh, so grateful that we could hear AND see the talented singers and band members. Visiting the souvenir shop at half time we were able to buy a Christmas Ornament. We asked one of the employees if we could move up from the far end of the third row to two empty seats on the first row. She told me she almost came and got us to offer us the opportunity to move up. It seemed as if every employee on this team really does care about making one's visit memorable. After the unforgettable show, there was a long line of people wanting a photo with Greg, including me and my husband. There was an older woman, all by herself, who shared how much she had wanted a photo with Greg, but had something wrong with her leg and could not get up the stairs to the stage without railing. My sweet hubby helped her up and back down. Seeing how thrilled she was with her photo made us both happy. It seems everyone in attendance left with an even bigger heart of gratitude and concern for others. Yes, we thought we would just enjoy a wonderful Christmas show. . . but instead we got... A TASTE OF HEAVEN!!

It was challenging to agree upon a show as two of our guests were international visitors, and were less familiar with the English-language lyrics of popular American songs. We decided upon the ICONIC show, because it was described as a family-friendly musical variety show. My husband and I twisted arms a bit as we were familiar with the theatre having visited there years ago to see a different show ("One"). The ICONIC show was high energy, featuring a cast of highly talented musicians, dancers, a comedian, and even aerialists. The show featured country hits, classic rock anthems, Broadway favorites, and pop ballads, all professionally choreographed and with frequent costume changes. Stunt comedian Max Winfrey, who was featured on America's Got Talent, provided comedic relief between sets. The show was about two hours of non-stop entertainment. All four of us, even our international guests, enjoyed it. The Alabama Theatre, founded in 1993, was clean and comfortable, with excellent acoustics. The temperature in the venue was comfortable in late September. We were in orchestra seats (section B, row 5), but there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The theatre is in Barefoot Landing, where patrons could avail themselves to pre-show dinners or shopping. Parking is free and plentiful. Our orchestra tickets were $54.95 each, including taxes and fees. They do not offer senior, military, AAA or AARP discounts. (We did see a brochure that advertised a summer special wherein 2 kids aged 16 and under are allowed per paid adult). No refunds or exchanges are allowed. Our rating for the experience is 4.5, rounded up to 5.0. A few minor things prevented a true 5.0 rating. (1) Upon entering, we were unknowingly directed to table where the gentleman tried to sign us up for a timeshare presentation at Wyndham Resorts; and (2) some of the actors seemed uncomfortable in the costumes and were seemingly "just going through the motions" in some of the later musical selections, especially the Under the Sea/Ariel and Aladdin ones. We would visit the Alabama Theatre again when next in the N. Myrtle Beach area.
