She said how the shoes she got were like running on air and never felt more comfortable in a pair of running shoes. Visited Hansons on a Friday evening and was quickly greeted by a worker. I told him I needed some new running shoes. I took off my shoes and got on a machine that analyzes the pressure points you have in your feet. I was surprised to see that my pressure points were in my heels! I also got my feet measured to ensure my right size. I sat down and the worker got me started on 3 different shoes. All 3 fit perfectly and felt amazing but he told me to start walking around the store and comparing the shoes. The worker let me take my time and was not pushy. I asked to have a 4th pair to try out but quickly resorted to the pair I tried on first. I was happy with my decision and the shoes felt like a hug for my foot. I have never been so comfortable in a running shoe before! I got a pair of Brooks and the cost was $120.00. Sure, it is a bit much for a pair of shoes but my commitment to running and the support I needed was well worth the price. However, other shoe stores run similar prices but the customer service at Hansons is well above the rest. My first run with my new Hansons shoes could not even compare to my old shoes! I was able to run a lot faster with my new running shoes since I had the correct support in my heels and overall felt supported. My legs also did not hurt after running like my old shoes. Hansons has a lot of other great products besides shoes! Exercise clothing and other accessories. I would never go anywhere else when I need a new pair of running shoes!

Priced $500-4000+ for the adults. 2/3 of the boys are going to need mountain bikes very soon, and the 3rd close behind, so was shopping also for the near future. I've also been contemplating a new one for myself. As for the moment... Have 4 bikes that need repairs, 1 mountain, 3 BMX style. Mountain has gears skipping and the BMX's need brakes fixed and need tires and/or tubes. Walk in, explain all issues with one of the mechanics. This gent was directed to help me by a blonde hair lady. He's a young man, very nice. Says they're obviously swamped and backed up but bring em in and they'll be put in line, after we discussed in detail the obvious need to figure out what the issue is with the mountain bike particularly, as it could be numerous things. Now, with no brakes and flat tires, and the skipping gears gonna blow out a knee, can't really ride any of them anyway right? While there, the same blonde hair lady is described by a different employee to another customer as "the owners wife" in a conversation near me while they are negotiating a discount with a customer. Go straight home, load up all the bikes and return to the store. Look around and find a couple hundred dollars in accessories I would like to buy after I get the bikes unloaded/written up. Go to the register to get things going. Associate bugs her eyes out at me like I'm an alien when I tell her I'm there to drop off 4 bikes for repairs. Tries to get into how backed up they are and if the mountain bike is really old (it's not) it could be just about anything! Clearly wants nothing to do with my business. I'm thinking, yeah ummmm that's what you're supposed to do here right? Figure it out and charge me accordingly to fix it right? Then I come back and spend thousands on new bikes soon, accessories today I don't even actually need, and refer friends and family. This is an easy business model people. She refers me to the blonde lady aforementioned. I think great, "the owners wife" now this will be quick and easy right? Write me up, get my bikes and I'll be on my way awaiting my turn for repair after I grab those accessories. She then unbelievably starts the same routine, "could be anything" "we've just slowly got mechanics returning to work" "we have a lot of repairs right now" etc etc... She then goes even further and flat out encourages me to come back another time if they can still be used... this is AFTER it is explained there are no brakes, flat tires etc! And she also goes the route of, the initial lady, with the whole bit about how it could be several things with the mountain bike and adds "you know and then the labor can really start to add up." I was ABSOLUTELY dumbfounded at this insanity at this point. Now feeling like I'm in the Twilight Zone of a business model I say, and I am somehow still being very polite with my demeanor, "you know, it's pretty clear you don't want my business so I'll just be on my way now", point out the future loss of all my kids business and proceed to leave. NOW she awakens from her poor customer service coma and cares! She actually starts to follow me out saying wait, and says "I am the owner" and "oh no, someone else just tried that on the phone with me a little while ago"... hmmmm, see a theme here with lost business lady? BIG HINT: it. is. you. She tries to now back peddle (yes that was a bicycle joke) and explain away how she came into the middle of a story, regarding the mechanic she sent out to speak with me 20 minutes prior, and acts like me and her did not JUST have a conversation in which I again reiterated the issues and said multiple times the bikes can't be safely used until fixed anyway blah blah blah. I just simply and calmly repeat myself with no, you've made it painfully obvious you do not want my business and then the kicker, she actually gets mad at me! Angrily says "you can go take your bikes down the road!" Pointing angrily away into the air and adds yelling through the store as she is walking away "good luck!" Yep, she actually had the audacity to try and flip the script with the ol "you can't fire me, I quit!" routine. As I said. AVOID AVOID AVOID and to that poor polite young man who clearly knows more about a business than this "owner" or whatever she is, run as fast as you can!

The associate responded, "We can try to help, but we are closing at 5:00 p.m. We weren't going to open today because of the watermain break, but we did and closing early". I explained that the website said the store was open today despite the watermain break and no indication of early closure. The associate said she could try to help, but again, "We are closing at 5pm". When she asked about insurance information, I shared I would need to locate my card. She replied that I could look for the insurance card, but that they were closing at 5:00." I had also hoped to look at glasses since the posted hours and website indicated the store would remain open until 7:00 p.m., but instead I left abruptly due to the poor customer service and repeated comments about the store closing early. I felt as though I was inconveniencing the associate simply by coming in during the posted business hours. I was also told to come back tomorrow, which is not possible for me. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and because of it I will be looking for a different optical center.

They used to sell sunglasses, watches, jewelry and other unique pieces behind the glass area (not sure, I forget what it is called when someone has to help you when something is behind glass). A few months ago or last year we noticed Salvation Army would bag a bunch of jewelry up in one bag and say it was $70 or $100 - um, really? Of course, like any thrift/donation store, there are a lot of questionable garments and items that sit on the racks for months as well as items from shady brands like Shein. This is in no way their fault, of course, but it is something to mention because, yeah, there's a LOT of Shein. However, there has not been a single time where I haven't found several QUALITY pieces of clothing for me and my family. I always find genuinely nice items here from brands that I wouldn't be able to afford retail as well as more common brands, and my favorite, vintage! I love being able to enjoy shopping sustainably here and helping add less clothing to the landfill a few miles away!
