Just think to yourself how much time you and so many of your SVS counterparts have spent ignoring me! Like it really just blows my mind how terrible your company is! For my lenses to look like that well before the 12 month "warranty" you guys pretend to have expired! Bringing them in to your store, having multiple conversations with Jessica and Lindsey. Having multiple conversations with Renee in customer service, then the very poor attempt your area manager Lisa tried to reach out to me. Listen. NO ONE at SVS even touched them! Let alone scanned them, or put them up to a scope, not even an attempt to see with the naked eye! Which you can do! Seriously John! No one touched them! Why? And why am I being ignored? Why doesn't anyone care??? You guys manufacture your own lenses! This is beyond absurd, and beyond the worst customer service, and beyond the worst glasses I've ever had in 40 years! And to think technology is supposed to upgrade the process! Wife and I got our eye exams a week ago and were fitted with new glasses. We started with a simple appointment for the two of us on a Saturday. This whole team was amazing, there was three different reps in the main area, all great, especially the lady helping me, susie. great sense of humor and extremely helpful when it came to picking out frames and what looked best on me ! the dr was amazing, he was quick, friendly, and listened to my concerns. Very professional service expedient and accurate at a good price

I was able to get an appointment quickly. Staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Nice selection of glasses. I took advantage of a second pair of glasses at half off which weren't covered by my insurance but I got them as sunglasses and less features so it was a pretty good value. Best of all when they arrived they refunded me about 25% of what they had charged so I was even more pleased with the price. Free adjustments if I need and I although I'd been told I could get by just fine with readers I'm so much happier with prescription glasses at work and on the computer. read more

I've been to other locations. I felt comfortable from the moment I got here. This was my first time getting glasses and the lady there was completely patient with me, and spent quite some time with me picking out frames. I can't tell you how much that meant. The doctor was was very friendly and efficient. I was taken back on time, had my exam and was done in a very timely manner. When I returned to pick up my glasses, the lady who helped fit them was also wonderful! She was kind, patient and very informative with a great sense of humor. I felt confident when I left. I've needed glasses for a couple years- the last location I went to a couple years ago, I picked out my frames and was happy with them, the lady told me that they were mostly what "old ladies" wear and that I don't want them. I ended up leaving without glasses and waiting another 2 years. It may sound silly, but it really put me off. Either way, my experience at the Broadway location was 100% better and I appreciated that. read more

Staff are pleasant but make sure when you call o make app't you have all your info, I tried to get an app't for a elderly lady friend but they would not make app't because I did not have her info, I think they could have made the app't and get the info later.Other than this , I feel it's a good place to get eye exams and eye wear. read more

EXCELLENT optometrist, very professional, thorough and Friendly (Dr. Iceberg), staff is also very professional, courteous & friendly--very helpful in selecting my new glasses & sunglasses--definitely the best prices & SVS handles all paperwork for insurance--I was in and out in an hour. SVS has for decades provided an excellent service. When I moved away for awhile & moved back, I was truly able to notice the difference in vision centers and SVS Vision in Lake Orion is the best, also excellent prices. Now that I'm "back home", SVS Vision is the ONLY vision center I will go to for numerous reasons. They are FANTASTIC professionally and very prompt as well. read more

This was the location I purchased my eye wear from, I felt the service was helpful, but that SVS lenses and frames were of very poor quality. Within a month the frames I had chosen started to have issues and the threading that held the lense in was coming out of the frame. They would fix it but after a couple of times, I insisted on the replacement of a different frame. I chose a more expensive Michael Kors frame but those had issues as well; the screw that holds the arm kept coming undone and I was constantly having to tighten them. Not only was it a PIA but the fit wasn't what it should have been either as a result. Additionally, even though I paid additional for a coating to protect them from scratching, they still scratched up very easily and quickly. So much so that I'm having a hard time believing that the protective coating was actually applied. I have worn reading glasses for years and have never scratched the lenses asp badly or quickly. I was never able to figure out what I did differently from my previous pairs to cause such terrible scratching since they were always either in use or in a case. I usually keep the same frames for a second prescription, but had to relace everything within 18 months with the glasses I purchased from SVS. I think their products are of very low quality and they may not actually apply some of the additional protections they charge for, if they did apply that coating, well it was of poor quality too. read more

Don't go in with a Groupon! I paid $69 for an eye exam and $200 worth of eyewear. I was never given a consistent price for the extra features I need for my glasses, mono vision, progressive and transitional lenses. The salesman kept typing on his computer trying to come up with a price. He was irritated by my questions and very condescending. When I came back 3 months later to pick up my contact lens prescription he told me I had to pay an extra $56 for the 'contact lens fitting' I had during my initial visit. He said he forgot to charge me! SVS Vision found a way to make up for the cost of a Groupon. I did not save any money and was treated like second class citizens. read more

I would never enter these doors again! I had an appt from the beginning it didn't feel as though they were customer oriented. Its a very confusing as you walk in there is desks everywhere and people just starring at you. Its awkward and people don't really invite to go to anyone in particular. Very confused environment as you wait for a response from someone anyone would do. Finally they respond! the doctor was very knowledgeable and I liked her. The gal at the desk sold me on contacts for a year with a great rebate so I went for it and paid. Later I found the web site impossible to work after calling them 4 times. I called and cancelled the contacts and she was very catty on the phone. What was I to do if they didn't give me a script and I was going to go on line. I know who I spoke with I don't know her name she assured me it would be taken care of. I had no reason to doubt her, this was Monday by Saturday I found through my bank she never did anything nor did they call. Called mechelle and she stated they didn't have my card I gave them numbers and no one has called me or handled my business. I had to go to bank cancel my card this is the most unprofessional office I have ever seen BEWARE!!!!! read more

They dont even deserve one star. I had medicaid/Medicare and this was their choice of places i had to go. When i got there they threw a box on the counter and told me those are all i could choose from very rudely. The doctor said very little to me. I was not told how my vision ended up being. I went out and the lady measured me for glasses. And i was told i was done. I had to call a few days after they said my glasses would be in, and they were (no call from them). I went in to get them and waited while a young man got his sun glasses surrounded by his friends. They lady finally noticed me and came over, she found my glasses and handed the bag to me and walked away. She did not try my glasses on me or even give me any instructions or even a case, they were in a sleeve. When i got home and put them on the frame was bent and when i staightened it the lens popped out. I was able to fix it but that is not the point. I was pretty sick at the time and was just glad i could see better so i did not make a complaint. I was really afraid to go back to any eye doctor but finally did a few years after. My vision is basically gone in one eye. And i have found that people will treat me equally and some are very nice. I am not sure if they treat all patients that way or just patients with medicaid. I think it was due to my insurance due to the fact she was very involved in helping the boy out with his sunglasses. I tried to make idle conversation and it was always ended with a one word answer. Contradicted our 5 head old son's eyeglass prescription and ripped us off, charging $200 for premium high index lenses which are not shatterproof or recommended for children. The manager Wendy justified the unethical sales methods of her employee and was also very rude. When I called for a refund and complained, she asked " are we done yet?" Oh yes Wendy, I am done after I contact the BBB and your corporate office. You have no business working in customer service. Also, I hope my refund is on its way after supplying my CC info for the second time. Wendy made sure to smack her hand on my refund receipt today when I came to the store and told me "I can go now." This place is a scam and run by one of the most unethical, unprofessional, and rude managers I have ever encountered in the service industry. SVS Vision in Lake Orion is more concerned with profiting off unethical sales methods than they are for my son's vision. This is my son's first experience wearing prescription eyeglasses and I was completely taken advantage of. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Son's frame cracked, visited store to get replacement to which they indicate it would be a week to get them in. Found the display model and asked if we could take that one in lieu of the ordered one but the lens did not quite fit and were bulging out. Tech stated that its fine, but I requested to still order a new frame to see if was better and still told a week business day. Called after 2 week to find out the status and after verifying we had been in to get a replacement, listen to them whisper as they tried to figure out where they order was told they need to check the vendor kind of with the tone that it hadn't been ordered but was told should have answer in two days. Another week and a day went by with no phone call back and the frame finally arrive. Mind you this was just to get a frame shipped to the store, no lab work or lens fitting. Follow though and attention to detail is not their strong suit. read more
