Cute quaint spot tucked away in Frankfurt: Upon entering we were asked if we had a reservation and…read morewe did not but they said it was ok they could seat us. So this is a situation where beggars can't be choosers. We walked past the cute quaint dining room to a group of tables in an adjoining room that was gloomy and had no decor in it & was basically folding tables & chairs. But ok we were hungry. Ordered the carne platter for two, it came with salad and potatoes. The food came out and the steak was a perfect medium. They did a great job on that part. But there was not an ounce of seasoning on the meat. None. So it was perfectly cooked unseasoned meat. So it was a bit disappointing. When we finished our meal, they came and cleared our plates and we waited over 20 minutes just to get our bill. They just kept walking by us and ignoring us. The waitress finally acknowledged us and said "one minute" but took another ten minutes to bring our check. This place served its purpose because we were full but I would never eat there again.

I have not had goose before, but now that I ordered the Gansebrust, I can say that I like this as much as turkey, and maybe even more. If you want the whole goose, you will have to make a reservation. I'll do that next time! Haus Waldlust is a Little dated and kinda like eating at grandma's house, except the food is much better.
