Beautiful store to look at…read more I traveled here with two purposed in mind. By a mitten book that I have been looking for over a year for and to buy mass quantities of some Estonian yarn that I love to knit with. Oh My GOSHHHH I found my book, I can't believe it, there is one of shelf. I bring it to the front desk since there is no price on it. The entire staff at the desk walks away as I approach. Wait - what is going on here. I just want to buy a book. Following the straggler of the herd I corner one and she reluctantly goes back to the counter. Looks at the book, looks at the books on the shelf behind her and declares she can't sell me the book - it is the last one and the shop copy. Crest fallen I leave without the prize. I return a few minutes later after composing myself to get my yarn. YEAHH they have a lot of the yarn. Maybe they won't deny that purchase. I look through the colors and choose about 10 skeins but there is no price on the yarn. Most of the other brands have a tag on the shelf or a price list nearby. I turn around and the same saleswoman is at the counter and she turns away every time I look at her. This pointedly ignoring me goes on at three times. Third time I get it, they don't want my business. I go down the street to the other yarn shop and spend my $200 in souvenir money on other yarn. NOTE- I am an American and I realize that I am hampered by lack of Norwegian. I can speak French and buy yarn in German but I didn't even get to try because I was given the ice shoulder. I just don't understand since the shop also sold really nice souvenirs.
