I feel as though we have been used as…read morepawns in submitting ever increasing offers to unknowingly drive up the bid of another offer without ever being informed, we were competing in a one-sided bidding war we never knew existed. Ms. Rodenbeck claims to be a CNE (Certified Negotiations Expert), I thought she overstated her accomplishments when we didn't hear from her for more than 4-days regarding an update from the sellers on our bid. After finally offering full price and informing us one of the principals was taken to the hospital, that there might be a delay in their response, we heard from her very quickly regarding the sellers having another full price cash bid and they were rejecting our bid two days before Christmas. She actually managed to negotiate a full price offer from the other bidder, and she never had to complicate the deal by negotiating with the second potential buyer. That is an unfair way to negotiate. I am not sore about losing this opportunity, I am sore we were never participating in a level playing field or stood a chance to offer a competitive bid, not knowing we were even in a competitive situation. I can assure Ms. Rodenbeck a complaint to the Highland Lakes Board of Realtors will follow after the holidays. The one star was awarded only because you couldn't submit a review unless you entered a minimum of one star. All I can say is buyer beware!!!
