A cantonal bank which itself was able to arrange a transfer within hours. Hours!
My relationship manager says his hands are tied by the Stiftung and I have to be patient - only I can't be patient because said highly efficient cantonal bank, which offers a superb personal service, is supposed to be issuing a payment order tomorrow so I can buy a flat next Tuesday. The seller is emigrating so we're under time pressure - but I was assured at the beginning of the process that all would be fine. It would be, if anyone working at Credit Suisse had any motivation, gumption, or even the odd brain cell.
It's unacceptable - unacceptable - for any bank or its attached pension foundation to be so thumpingly incompetent. In view of the bank itself's failure to follow very simple instructions about the liquidation of another account, I'll be moving everything to the fantastic, human, friendly, efficient and otherwise outstanding people at the Schwyzer Kantonalbank just as soon as humanly possible. Goons permitting, of course.
