Following a 36% jump in premium prices, I decided to terminate my account with Groupe Mutuel. As per my contract (and Swiss law), following an increase in prices, I am able to request the termination of my account by letter. Nowhere on their website do they specify the content of the letter other than it must include the client number and be sent by registered post. I have so far sent 2 letters, and both have been rejected, each time Groupe Mutuel demanding more information in the letter.
I suspect that their communications are intentionally vague and unhelpful so that they can continue to decline my requests for termination, forcing me to maintain their service. And that's exactly how they seem to operate; they don't care about their customers, they just want your money.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Groupe Mutuel. Look elsewhere for health insurance. read more
