Working with Danielle was such a pleasure and my event was amazing. Touring the venue is like an AirBNB host - you get a code and self-tour. Also, all the steps to book, make payments, coordinate the decor and even add-ons like bartenders, decorations, etc. were available through a portal which was very easy & professional. She was also available via text for random questions. My 50th planning committee was hands on & showed up early to get in at set up time. I also had my vendors - Bartender, DJ, photobooth and caterers set up before guests arrived. I had notified my guests when to arrive for my grand entrance! Overall, the perfect location for parking (free on the street), a unique setting, intimate and you can customize it to your liking. It felt like a Brooklyn loft and was a big hit! 10/10 highly recommend!

From my understanding, people were parking down the street once space in front was gone. There is a small kitchen in the back with a refrigerator and a sink. The bathroom was really cute and clean. The DJ area was spacious and nice also. There are buildings in shelves alongside one wall and bricks on the other. I absolutely loved the look and feel of this space. It was chic and rich with color. The hardwood floors only added to the beauty of this space. I would definitely recommend having events here. I don't know how many people it can hold, but I saw a lounge area, two large round tables, a full bar, and three long tables with food while I was here. Decorations were done by A Touch of Tanya G for this birthday party. www.atouchoftanyag.com

There is a sign in the bathroom that says if you forgot something to ask front desk and they will replace it complimentary. Well that was t true. I ran out of my mouthwash and floss and the lady at the front desk said you have to pay for those and it wasn't complimentary. This hotel is older but definitely well kept. Breakfast is complimentary from 6:30-8:30am snd is pretty basic. You get a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in your room.

The couple of times I've stayed here, I've experienced the following: 1) Guests: Strange guests that smoke marijuana in their rooms. They have a no smoking policy so I'm not sure why they can't kick them out. Smells like Motel 6 at times 2) HVAC: A few months ago, I was in a room where the AC was not blowing any cold air. Settings were correct. I reached out to the front desk and they sent their maintenance person who opened the front panel and plugged something in. Well that didn't work either and finally they decided to give me another room. 3) Roaches: Yes.....do I need say more. 4) Cleanliness: Sheets are not that clean and neither are towels. You can tell when one towel is more yellow then the other. If you really look at the bathroom floors, you will find hair everywhere. The pull out bed from the couch is this old filthy mattress. The bag with the sheets and pillow were probably up there for a long time as they did not smell right. Had to get that swapped out. And don't bother looking under the sofas....you'll know how well housekeeping cleans. 5) Elevators: Stay away from them. Back in July 2024 we were in the left elevator and when it reached the lobby we heard and felt this loud thump. Then it took the door 20 seconds to open. We started to use the one on the right. Well, fast forward to last week's stay, we were on the same dang elevator and as soon as it reached the lobby the door would not open at all. It kept trying to open but it was stuck in a loop where it would close before it could crack open. We tried pressing the button, but no luck. Then I hit the 2nd floor and it still would not do anything. I ended up calling using their emergency line and they stated they'll get someone from maintenance to assist. Well 10 min go by and I was about to lose it. All of a sudden the elevator began to go up to the 2nd floor and opened. We pretty much ran out and took the stairs. Then when they saw us they canceled the fire fighters to assist. An Out of Order sign was never placed and another guest got stuck as well. Then they finally put up a sign. They were willing to give us some money back for the stay but it would not benefit me b/c my employer paid for the room so they gave me extra points....only 2,000 points...not enough for anything.

I had my wedding reception in this venue at the end of May 2011, but signed the contract somewhere…read morearound last July. My ceremony was at the nearby O'Neal Plaza, I will do a seperate review for that experience. When I looked at this venue, one of the first things that I did was to pay attention to capacity. I knew that we were going to end up with a LOT of folks considering that we both have huge families and lots of friends, and we tend to be more inclusive than that turn folks away who wanted to have a great time. Great, the brochure says that this venue can accomodate 250 folks in a sit down style reception, 300+ if it is a theatre style, we should be fine... right? Hmm... after several months and visits to look at the site... wrong! Well, there is another side room to move the food, maybe we can put teenagers over in that room to make a little more space and we'll be good. Crisis averted, but I strongly caution that if you need this large space for full functionaltiy, that you make sure that you don't just read the literature that they provide. I went to visit this facility several times over the course of the months leading up to the wedding. I would see some people prepping days prior to their event if they needed to. But, I was repeatedly told (even in seeing others setting up for their events early) that I could not enter the facilty until the day of the event since someone else was having an event the day before. I asked if it were possible that I come in after they finished, no. I asked if we could pay to come earlier that morning, no. Emphatically no, it was impossible, could not do it. We happened to be at the facility the day before the wedding for rehearsal on the outdoors. The couple who had the facility had their wedding ceremony at the venue the day before us and had no intention of staying in the venue that entire night. So... we COULD HAVE set up early instead of getting it all in that morning? Thanks for your help... All in all, I enjoyed this venue for my reception. I suppose that there are going to be problems wherever you go. If I had it to do all over again, after reading my review on the outdoor O'Neal Plaza... my answer is yes, I'd pick another place.

We had our wedding ceremony in a section of the ballroom and our reception right next door with the half of the ballroom. We had about 100 guest who fit comfortably on both sides. Jennifer and her crew were very accommodating and welcoming and I have nothing but great things to say about them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we weren't able to pick our own caterer or even from a list of caterers. The center works exclusively with Proof of the Pudding(who are also good and food was very tasty) but I would have liked to be able to be given more than one option in caterers. Speaking from someone who was on a super tight budget, the caterer can make a huge difference.
