It would, however, be unfair and somewhat dishonest of me if I didn't mention another occasion where I was treated with expert, life saving, care and professionalism by the doctors and staff at Sutter Coast Hospital. For this event I am giving a separate rating, as I do not know how else to address the issue. In 2019, or 2020, I went to the front desk of Sutter Coast Hospital and I complained of chest pains. The lady at the front desk commented how I was sweating, pale, and how I had clammy hands. She immediately picked up the phone and notified someone and ended with the word "Stat". Then with amazing speed & swiftness, as if in a movie, 4-5 hospital staff members burst through a door while pushing a hospital Gurney (bed on wheels). I was placed on the Gurney and I was immediately whisked away. I'm telling you, the speed at which this happened was truly amazing!!! I was then taken into a room where an entire team of Doctors and Nurses all worked in synchronous precision to stabilize me. Everything was happening so very fast. Again, I tell you that the orchestrated speed at which they worked was Awe-inspiring!!! In retrospect, I thought that I would have been very frightened and utterly scared but I wasn't, due to the obvious expert care that I was being given. After being stabilized, and goodness knows what else, I was placed on an airplane and flown to a hospital in Oregon. Most of the life-saving work had been done at Sutter Coast Hospital, though. To this day, doctors continue to tell me how surprised they are at how my Heart suffered Very Little Damage. Each time, I respond by crediting the entire Sutter Coast Hospital staff and how well and quickly they performed. Credit goes to everyone at Sutter Coast Hospital, as I have already discussed, but a very special appreciation certainly must go out to the lady that was working the front desk that afternoon. I wish that I knew her name so that I could personally thank her, as she was the very first "link in the chain" of people that I credit with saving my life.

The room was comfortable, clean , warm, well Set up, quiet . The doctors were professional , thorough, direct . And the support staff from maintenance to the food service staff were friendly and helpful. The food was actually good . I just had meatloaf lunch that except for the gravy mix would be something I would make . I ate fish for dinner last night and it was good. I am tall and the staff were able to make my bed longer so I was not cramped . And I was given extra pillows when I asked . Which site helped . I will say if you want to not be bored download your own shows before coming ( no streaming on their network) . But that is pretty much my only downside. I am happy to be going home now , but being here has been comfortable and made me feel better.

I'm an essential worker who lives 25 miles away. As soon as I was able to leave work, I raced against the clock and walked in the clinic's door at 4:29 pm. The front office staff spent 5 minutes determining what paperwork I would need to complete and whether I would be seen. I was finally told that I couldn't be seen "today," because I arrived after 4:30 pm. It was 4:35 pm. I corrected the staff person (I walked in the door prior to 4:30 pm) and was then told I couldn't be seen because my paperwork work couldn't be completed before 4:45 pm, and the person I would be seeing had to leave by 5:00 pm -- ah, the truth comes out. I was then told I would need to come back Monday. I bit my tongue and left. Fast forward 9 hours to 1:40 am. My sinus health was rapidly declining, so I went to Curry Medical ER. I was treated rapidly with compassion, competency, and incredible professionalism... for frontal sinusitis. Oh did I fail to mention, the folks at Sutter's ENT clinic tried to convince me that my symptoms "probably aren't a sinus" problem, since they couldn't be bothered to treat me? Save your time, money, energy, and sanity by avoiding the Sutter Community Clinic and go to Curry Medical, Coos Bay, or Medford. If you're reading this review, you've probably read other reviews regarding poor service at this clinic. Things were sub par prior to the pandemic. They certainly haven't improved. BTW Sutter Coast Community Clinic, it only took 10 minutes at Curry ER to do the job you should have done -- you would have been done by 5:00 pm and you would have made additional $.

Ok, here we go…read more Five stars. I've always believed you can tell a lot about a hospital by how people act when no one's watching. Today in the cafeteria, I saw exactly why that matters. There was a moment with a woman in a wheelchair and her husband who couldn't quite hear her. It turned into this little comedy of errors at the counter, but then something wonderful happened. A nurse stepped in to help them communicate. Someone else made sure she got what she ordered. I moved a chair so she could sit. Another person brought her water to go with her cup of ice. It was as if it had been choreographed by kindness. And then there's the food, because good God, somebody back there knows what they're doing. I'm Mexican, and I know my burritos. I lean Tejano style, with all the trimmings. The smothered burrito here didn't have chicharrones or Spanish rice, and you know what? It was better for it. It was genuinely delicious, not institutional, not rushed. It tasted like someone cooked it because they wanted you to enjoy it. Like, a friend was feeding you. Between the food and the instinctive kindness I saw from staff, I walked away thinking I could trust these people with my family. That's not a small compliment. Thank you to the nurses, the cafeteria crew, and everyone who quietly made things easier today. Five stars for the food, for the people, and most of all, for the heart. The type of care was human kindness.

This geography and location really helped preserve my sanity. On my work days, I provided VIP service to all patients I took care of. I knew this was a tiny hospital and I would probably work alone. That's fine, but I expect adequate equipment and a safe working environment free of disrespect. Bonus if the manager was more supportive and true to his word. Sadly, there will always be a high attrition rate. Staff and travelers would stay longer if they were valued.

Dr. Lopez present with a negative attitude, rude, rush and poor judgement, unprofessional and even somewhat incompetent in her skills as a dentist. In all out visits and encounters with her, she was an uncaring person (flat, rude, no introduction) no explaination pre and/or post procedures, no patient education provided, being selectively mute, and would leave immediately when she's done. My Dad had an infected tooth and this provider somehow, still removed the non-infected tooth instead, even after x-ray was obtained. My Dad was send home without the dentist addressing the problem. The struggle of trying to reschedule another appointment was so stressful over the next several months. Finally, after three months of delay care, pain and suffering that my Dad had to go through, and multiple attempts reaching out to the clinic, the clinic finally scheduled an appointment for a tooth extraction. Dr.Lopez appear to lack the skills and knoweledge to perform his duties as he failed to completely sutured the surgical site after the tooth extraction was performed. The dentist then walked out of the room in a flat affect without any explaination, leaving us in confusion. The dentist assistant informed my Dad to pick up his pain medication at his local pharmacy. It's been 12 days since the procedure and there's still no prescription faxed over to the pharmacy. My Dad was in excruciating pain and a lot of discomfort. Still no success even after multiple attempts reaching out to the dental clinic and staff. My Dad was miserable, endorsing a lot of pain, lost a lot of weight since this procedure. I don't write reviews at all but I feel that I should this one because I don't want this kind of treatment to continue in our community.

I was treated with dignity and concern and she was able to answer all my questions, taking time to explain lung function and what does and does not target solutions. I have seen three Urgent Care doctors this month for the same problem, only to be given a new RX and sent on my way quickly. Dr. Schwartz is not only intelligent, but wise as well- and that's what patients need- not just the obligatory twelve minutes and send you out the door. It takes wisdom as well as intelligence to fully help a patient with a chronic condition, so thank you Dr. Schwartz for taking real time in assessing my problems and giving me solutions. Thank you so much for the difference you make in the lives of your patients! When a refill is needed I call in advance so as to not run out. However Every time it takes multiple phone calls and as much as 10 days to get refill approved by Curry Health. So every month I end up going without the med for a week. This is not good patient care.

After the paperwork, waited about another 5 minutes for the nurse to take us back into the doctors office to check vitals. The on-call doctor came right away and checked my child for strep. In and out...that's what I like.

The care goes beyond the care we have had in large cities where we have resided. The diagnosis and treatments were spot on and we were seen in a timely manner whether there were many people or not. We are grateful for this facility so close and the specialty care that has been added in the last few years: orthopedics, sleep center, and connection to the patient charting system used all over Oregon called EPIC. With the addition of two oncologists, one a resident, and the new Infusion Facility in Gold Beach will save lives and reduce the burden and costs of travel for cancer care. Karen C.

We arrived at Curry E.R in Bookings, Oregon and were immediately seen. Professional & kind. I felt safe. Apparenting my heart wasn't functioning correctly.
