Prior to attending the Sutter Coast Community Clinic today, my husband called in advance and confirmed the walk in clinic was accepting patients until 4:30 pm . I'm an essential worker who lives 25 miles away. As soon as I was able to leave work, I raced against the clock and walked in the clinic's door at 4:29 pm. The front office staff spent 5 minutes determining what paperwork I would need to complete and whether I would be seen. I was finally told that I couldn't be seen "today," because I arrived after 4:30 pm. It was 4:35 pm. I corrected the staff person (I walked in the door prior to 4:30 pm) and was then told I couldn't be seen because my paperwork work couldn't be completed before 4:45 pm, and the person I would be seeing had to leave by 5:00 pm -- ah, the truth comes out. I was then told I would need to come back Monday. I bit my tongue and left.

BTW Sutter Coast Community Clinic, it only took 10 minutes at Curry ER to do the job you should have done -- you would have been done by 5:00 pm and you would have made additional $. read more
