To our experience thus far, the best AYCE Sushi in Malaga.
This place is quite a bit out of town, but conveniently a short walk from the train station, which made it very easy to get there. We trained there and walked back.
The venue is large and a bit of a senses overload visually. Very nice, clean and well decorated.
The service staff were a bit mixed. Some were very stern and short (not rude, just not particularly friendly) and others were super kind and accommodating.
You were given 90 minutes for dining. Although the place is massive and can accommodate what seems like a couple hundred people.
Once seated you have an iPad from which you order. This seems to be a very Malaga thing. You can order x items per person, in this case I believe it was 8-10. Once you submit your order there is a cooling off period where you can't order for 7 minutes or so. While I get the intention, it's also super annoying in combination with a timed seating.
The food comes out at a reasonable, albeit not spectacular pace.
The fish and options were all good. The fish tasted fresh, it was overloaded on rice and they had some tasty and unique rolls. Loved that most of the rolls were 4 pieces vs 8 so we could try more things or order more if we really liked one.
While the prices were reasonable, I was annoyed when I was informed that purchasing a beverage is obligatory - one per person. We were three, but order a bottle of water with our meal. While they didn't enforce it, they also didn't inform us. Regardless, mandatory anything when you're going out to enjoy a meal is ridiculous. read more
