The restaurant was packed upon opening at 7:00PM. Very clean with a tidy layout.
The server was sick, had an obvious stuffy nose. When we mentioned it, he shrugged and said, "Must work". Even in illness, he did a good job.
We split the mussel appetizer and the fish and chips entree. The shellfish tasted good, a touch too much salt in the broth. Bread was top notch. The fish and chips were mid. The batter too thick and doughy (think cheap Chinese take away prawns) to be paired with such delicious fish. The chips were soggy.
My companion and I were both ill later in the evening. She ended up VERY sick for most of the night. We are convinced the mussels were the culprit.
