Tasty, fresh, good portion, but over priced! Not what I expected! My mom is so mad!
My mom wanted sushi but her fav place wasn't opened for lunch so I suggested she try a new place since she was hungry. Found this one on Uber and thought a Poke Bowl would be a nice experience for her to try since she could use a spoon.
It was 2 for 1, so we were testing to see if this is something we'd like to make our new "go to" when the price went back to normal. I've had poke bowls elsewhere before, they're usually a really nice assortment and sometimes there's so many ingredients that they don't list everything, or there's usually something special about it to justify their prices. This being 25$ at regular price is the most expensive I've ever seen, so I was expecting something fun. Wow... no. it's literally just 4 topping ingredients of edamame beans, cucumber, avocado, and salmon on a bed of rice with a layer of lettuce, and drizzled spicy mayo and dark sauce. The sesame seeds listed in the menu were missing, not like that would have saved the dish anyways.
My mom was so angry, saying this is worth 10$, and sadly, I agree with her. Usually pokebowls are anywhere from 12-21$ and they have more ingredients than this... so for 25$, they should have at least made the fish more of a luxury selection instead of a common one. We really feel ripped off, I don't recommend. This was insulting, I'm very embarrassed. I can't imagine what excuse they have for this price, because even a rich area like Beverly Hills who literally cater to the rich and wealthy would make the quality of their content merit their high prices. This feels more like they're taking advantage of people who don't know any better, it's got "it's not my money" vibes and I cannot support this. read more
