Larry is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!…read more I was lucky enough to meet Larry over 10 years ago. At that point, I had gone through hypnosis sessions that were unsuccessful. The experience with Larry was different. The moment you get to his office, you feel welcome and at home. Sally welcomes you like you are part of the family. Then you meet Larry. He is not only extremely caring, but also very insightful. You may think you know why you are there, but Larry will uncover what is lying beneath the surface. You will focus on removing those blocks during the session. An aspect I love about Larry's method is that you are in a different room as Larry during the hypnosis. This will makes the session really yours. There are no distractions and there is no pressure. Then, after the session is over, you receive a personalized audio of the session To listen to anytime. I can't say enough good things about this place. FYI,I've also done Rolfing with John Banick and he's awesome as well. In summary, I wish I could clone Larry And this wonderful place. They truly are the best!!

I contacted Tanya from Shine Spirituality for help because I was going through some major life…read morechanges that included ending an 18 year relationship. I asked for help in letting go of my ex because i was exhausted from the pain and struggles of holding on and trying to fix the relationship. Instead of focusing on my ex, Tanya guided me to making my intentions and focus about me and the things that I can personally do to let go of all the baggage that had kept me hanging on to the failed relationship. With Tanyas help I was able let go of my need to control the outcome, release all the baggage keeping me attached to the situation, and come into a new phase of flowing through the difficult process of divorce and separation . Since our hypnotherapy session my life has completely changed and all the tension between me and my ex have abated while we have reached a new phase in our relationship that has allowed us both to accept and guide each other through the process of our divorce and separation while creating a safe space between us for moving on with our lives. I am for ever grateful for my session with Shine Spirituality and Tanya's willingness to help guide me through and out of a very difficult position that was causing me much grief and turmoil. she was able to help make a lasting and meaningful change to a very difficult situation in my life. I will be getting more session for her very soon and highly recommend her services to anyone who is going through a difficult time that they are struggling to get through on their own.

We have attachment to patterns of behavior and responses that we just no longer want to participate in but we don’t know how to stop. Time does NOT heal all wounds, it just gives them space to sink into the subconscious mind where they will impact your emotions and behaviors. What heals, is going inward, loving yourself, listening to your needs, addressing your negative attachments and emotional history, learning how to let go of the negative and following your intuition. Referred a client for psychiatric services. Two days before the appointment the office staff called…read moreand canceled the appointment due to paperwork not having been filled out 3 days before. It was not stated anywhere on paperwork or website that the patent needs to fill out the paperwork a certain number of days before appointment-in fact, in some instances it states that paperwork can be brought in at the first appointment. The client explained that they were unaware and would fill it out immediately-but were told it was too late. The client asked to speak to the manager who was terrible rude and condescending and just kept explaining the (undocumented) policy-THe client was very upset and kept asking what she could do to make this right. She explained that she had just moved from out of state and things were very chaotic and she needed to get in so she could have her medication managed (for depression) as she was about to run out. THey told her that since she did not care about their policies she was not only being cancelled but she was not welcome back to see any of their providers. The client plans to file a complaint with the the ethics board of the APA. THis is incredibly unprofessional behavior by clinically uneducated individuals who are acting on the behalf of medical professionals who have ethical standards they are required to uphold. These actions put the entire practice at risk of malpractice. Never in my 30 years in the field have my clients experienced this type of treatment.

Anyone that has gone to a counselor or psychiatrist knows it's not necessarily the best experience…read more While going to PR&A, I felt like I was a number rather than a client who mattered. This place had a cooperate and uncomfortable feel to it. The clinicians and psychiatrists were "nice" I am not so sure they had my best interest in mind. Maybe I was just going to the wrong people, but that is the feeling I got. I will leave out names because I don't want to point fingers, but as a client, I wish I had read a review like this prior to going because I probably would have gone somewhere else, and much smaller. The psychiatrist... I saw her for about 2 months. She listened to my problems but was so quick to put me on medication. I personally do not like that, especially when I am totally apprehensive to take medication to begin with (which I told her). I ended having terrible side effects from the medication. Cymbalta - I was put on this medication for anxiety and depression. This made my heart rate go crazy, I had zero appetite, I felt like I had no personality whatsoever, and I would go from complete highs to complete lows. It was not good. When I addressed them with her, she simply took my BP while in the office, said I was fine, and said to continue with the medication. She then told me if it was that bad, just stop taking it because I had not been on the medication that long so it should not have any side effects coming off of it. Well she was wrong. I stopped cold turkey and I literally became suicidal. In addition to that, I would be in the middle of talking to someone and would completely forget where I was, what I was talking about, and in a couple situations who I was talking to. It was very scary! When that happened I went back on the medication and then did my own research. Come to find out, this medication CANNOT be stopped cold turkey! You literally have to open up the pill and take one bead out each day until you get down to the last bead. (It took almost 3 months to whine myself off!) So if you're Dr ever prescribes Cymbalta to you, make sure you really need it. And if you do, make sure you are fully aware of the side effects, and that your Dr will listen and address any concerns you have. After this experience I did not return to her. The therapist... She was alright. We did talk, a lot. But the first 15 minutes of session she would spend that time "shooting the shit" and often times she would talk about things pertaining to herself. I am sorry, but when I am paying $75 a co-pay, I am not coming to socialize. If that's the case, then the session should go 15 overtime to account for the 15 minutes of BS. I think if she avoided this, I may have had a better experience. But unfortunately because of this, I always ended up leaving more annoyed than helped. After about 2 months I stopped going to her as well. So to sum it up.... Depending on your needs, do your research. Read reviews. Go to someone who has RAVING reviews. I personally just did not like the practice and as I mentioned, I just felt like a number. I hope if you do go here, you get a much better experience than myself! Part of being a counselor is to make the client feel like you empathize with their problems, and I did not get this feeling here!

I was at my wit's end after seeing at least 4 other couples therapists that offered standard "vanilla" advice with no change. I assumed this was like any other couples therapy but with 2 professionals instead of 1. With nothing to lose, my partner at the time and I went in for what I affectionately now call "spiritual boot camp." Jean and Ray have a unique approach to their therapy backed by a mix of data, psychology, history, Kabbalah, and what I can only assume is MAGIC. They have an uncanny ability to read people and see thru B.S. allowing them to get to the root of issues faster and without judgement. If you're a fan of Brene Brown, Jean refers to this concept of eliminating shame (both within yourself and for those around you). I've been going to Lighthouse for 4 years now--even after moving 30 miles away & 2 failed attempts to get my advice/healing elsewhere. Sometimes I still leave sessions upset (because I know Jean is right and has hit a sore spot) but I ALWAYS have a sense of clarity and peace afterwards. It's not easy work bc they will push you if change is really what you're looking for--but well worth it!

My experience having been treated here was relieving at first as I really needed serious attention…read moreand help, but slowly became unprofessional. This is not the location to choose if you are looking for long-term healing. The advice and insight I've been given felt like a bandaid compared to a lot of the complex and deeper issues I was struggling with. I didn't feel care or empathy at all from Katarina. The office started ghosting me, and have not gotten any response from her. Coming out of my sessions I felt unimportant, I felt like my issues and struggles didn't matter. This place didn't feel like a lighthouse. Matters got worse when I was asking for a note, or signing papers for work. The attitude towards me became cold. If it was out of their capabilities, I wish they tried referring me to a different location, helping me reach out to the actual help I needed. I felt so lost and stressed especially in the state I was in already. I felt threatened to have a session or not. Please, take the time to listen, be patient, understanding, responsive, and act with care as all these patients are going through tough times. Edit* After writing this review, I experienced an unsavory set of actions in order for me to take down this review, thus slowing my healing process. I have no doubt they have helped individuals before, but the unsavory actions indicate large red flags for this business. I advise caution. After every session, Katarina would just walk away like time was up that's it. I just felt like a stranger that she had to talk to for one hour and then that's it. Being a social worker, I felt it lacked the empathy and warmth. I've never felt as if she tried to understand me. I switched to my old psychologist and after just one session with him I felt hopeful. I expressed my concerns and he showed me empathy and a willingness to work things through.
