I waited around above 15 minutes and left for my 20 mile drive home. About half way home she called and asked if I was interested in driving back for a discounted lesson. I did. When I got back to the store, she ushered me into a tiny room filled with drums and other music equipment. No seats. She went and found a couple stools. I'd brought some music I was trying to learn. However, there was no music stand or anything around to put the music on. She laid it on the floor and had me try and play it. I could barely even see it. (I'm 69) While I'm attempting to play the song, she leaves the room for several minutes. When she returns, she shows me a riff to add to the song. She had to borrow my new Snark tuner to tune her guitar. Upon completion of the "lesson" she promised to call the next day to schedule my next "lesson". I never heard from her. The next day I realized she didn't return my tuner. I called the store and they gave me a new tuner without charge. Then girl later called wanting to give me lessons in my home. I think not! This is not necessarily the stores fault, but they should be more careful about subcontracting with people who can't be depended on.

The place has a long history in town. A lot of fun has gone on here. It's one of the few good places in town to see live music. This kind of looks like an airplane hangar from the outside. Inside it looks more like a dive bar. Lots of room in here though. Good place even when there's not music, because you can drink at the bar. It's about $4 for the cheapest cocktails. Whiskey and whatever. Good specials on pints and buckets. There's no food but you can bring in stuff. Have to make an update about this business. It has closed. This is sad for the community, it's a place with lots of history, so you'll have to go to some other bar or wherever.

This has happened on multiple occasions- we (two girls) were standing at the bar for at least a few minutes, while she did nothing accept for standing by her monitor and passively aggressively WAVING at us. So, TAUNTING us, basically. It wasn't until the other bartender (Haley I believe) came over and helped us out, and Paige IMMEDIATELY flocked to the men who came up to the bar after us to serve them. I'm not sure if I'm missing a social cue here or something, but Haley already seemed like she was busy with enough customers. So not only were we IGNORED, but were quite literally bullied by one of the bartenders. Terrible service, and it sort of messed up our whole night.

This is an older theater that has been renovated a couple times in its history. It has been brought up to the current AMC standard which means large reclining chairs and a small bar inside. It is still a modest sized theater relative to what you would find in larger cities, but overall I think this does a good job. Prices are what you would expect these days, but that is pretty much theater standard rather than something unique to this location. I would recommend buying tickets ahead of time since there is assigned seating. It makes a huge difference to be in the center seats all together rather than be on the sides or too far forward. You can also order your food ahead of time so it is ready to go when you arrive. I thought that was a really nice feature. Overall no complaints, it is a pretty standard movie going experience.

I tend to be hot but I noticed most people think this place is pretty cool so plan to bring a jacket and plan to come early if you need to buy a ticket or buy them ahead of time as a lot of students go to the place and they wait until the last minute to buy their tickets. there's usually a long line. Park in the lot on the southwest side of the building not the lot across from the main entrance as the one across from the main entrance is sticker parking. He said the best part about SIU was that switching majors was easy and he found his passion in design and became very successful. We visited the campus in April 2026 and he hadn't been back there in 40 years! The campus was very nice and he said a lot had changed but the houses he lived in are still there. My school was the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and it did not offer a multi-week field class (consecutive multiple weeks in the field) at the time, so I started looking up programs I could apply to through other universities. The SIU program was on the longer side (approximately 42 consecutive days in the field from start to finish) and had a breadth of geology and geophysical methods and projects. All 6 weeks were in the field in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. The rocks were amazing and teaching thorough. My appreciation for the materials covered and projects executed has increased with time/hindsight. Logistics through the SIU administration were straightforward and I had no problems with transferring the credits I earned back to my alma mater so I could graduate on time.

They have a pocket billiards table for members only in the bar area and gaming machines in a separate room. The commons room has several "pay pool tables for anyone's use at 75 cents a game. Children are not allowed in the bar area and have their own separate area in the commons/meeting room where they can do what kids do. Also there's a bar in the children's area so parents can sit, socialize & enjoy a drink.
