I have been learning how to drive with Steve for six months up till today where I passes my test, I could have not done this without his excellent teaching and guidance along the journey. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Surrey Driving Force. We picked them after seeing the good reviews. Our first instructor consistently kept cancelling on us and openly said he had to prioritise other students. Wasted the entire summer where we only ended up having 7-8 lessons due to no availability and last minute cancellations. We paid for 10 lessons in advance then had problems getting the money back. Our second instructor was better but abandoned us 3 weeks before the test as was sick and did not provide a replacement or suggestion to what to do. We reached out to the driving school to provide us with a last minute instructor and no response so we had to cancel our original test. Luckily we found an independent instructor a few days before our test date who gave intensive lessons, rebooked the test and helped in passing first time. Overall was a big let down. read more

I went through a couple of other driving schools before, such as Red and AA, but SDF was the only one that that I felt that at the end on my lesson that I could pass the test. The instructors are kind, very supportive and always do what they can to make sure that you get the best possible learning experience for your money. I'm happy to recommend them to any new learner. read more

My driving instructor Steve is highly qualified, and adopts an enjoyable yet effective style when teaching. The rate of progression i have witnessed with Steve has been excellent and i have never felt more comfortable and assured when driving. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Surrey Driving Force. I only started learning to drive at the age of 31 and was quite nervous and apprehensive at first, but my Surrey Driving Force instructor Julie was very calm, patient and reassuring. I never felt under any pressure and the lessons were enjoyable. Julie gave me plenty of confidence so I felt very prepared for my test. As I have never driven a car before, I was a little bit anxious before my first lesson, but my driving instructor (Steve Hawkins) made the whole experience very enjoyable. He is always very patient, but at the same time ensures that I continuously improve. I am currently having lessons 5-6 times a week and they are always conveniently fitted around my schedule. The pressure was really on for me because without passing my test, I would not have been able to accept the job offer I had just received. Steve advised me to take an intensive course of lessons and I am over the moon to say that they did the trick. Ryan took me on and gave me a mock test where he assessed my strengths and areas where I needed to improve on. After just have a total of 6 lessons with Ryan he helped me PASS my test FIRST TIME! Gavin is easily one of the best teachers I've ever had. More than just teaching you how to pass the test, he teaches you how to drive safely, and efficiently. With his several analogies and mnemonics, he really does make driving simple. I tend to have a lot of small questions when I'm learning something. Gavin listens to each of my queries and every single time he answers whatever concerns I have. In addition to that, he has created excellent resources that explain not only the 'how' but also the 'why', so whenever you are in a tricky situation while driving, you can figure out the best way to deal with it yourself. He is also incredibly accommodating. I had found a test for the very next day in a different city: Basingstoke rather than Farnborough. Gavin managed to find 4h of time for me that day to practice in Basingstoke, in addition to the 2h for the test day, and all thanks to that I managed to pass my test. Gavin truly does the best for his students, it shows in every single lesson and in every single resource he has created. From his enjoyable and in-depth guides and videos to his enthusiastic driving lessons, I have had a great experience learning from him and I looked forward to our lessons every week. I had around 40 hours driving expirence previously, but Gavin had to take me right back to basics to get me to the correct standard. I found him by a recommendation (a friend of mine was taking his lessons with him, and passed on his first attempt). He explains everything really well, the car is brand new (2012 Ford Focus) and always clean, and I feel ready to take my exam (17 September fingers crossed), only 6 weeks after I started taking my driving lessons with them. He was punctual, efficient and a great guy to learn with. Driving maneuvers were concisely explained and repeated as often as needed with an emphasis on road awareness and examining traffic flow to anticipate other drivers actions. It took me about 30 lessons to pass my test (with no practice car between lessons) and Paul is available during most working hours on his mobile. Verdict: Very satisfied
