white fridge they show in virtual tour. Small black fridge without any freezer component is what was in the unit 711a.

One of the worst experiences ever. Stayed in room 711a Oct 2023. I spent more time being frustrated before even going on the trip trying to get access to the pool before the 4pm checkin. And once there and checking into the room found other things to be frustrating that never got addressed properly. Never in my life have I gotten shut out for using facilities when arriving earlier than check-in. I understood the ridiculously strict check in time of 4pm but I wasn't trying to get in the unit I just wanted to use the pool when arriving at 9:00am on a Saturday. Seriously the HOA operations manager is beyond ridiculous. Once getting into the unit which was 75degrees on a fall day you are only allowed to set ac temp to 72degrees which is ridiculous. The virtual tour of unit 711A showed a small white refrigerator that took up the entire space allotted for it. Picture attached. I've stayed in many resort style studio condos and the refrigerator ALWAYS had a freezer component. Upon arrival there is a much smaller black refrigerator in the allotted space with a huge gap in between top of fridge and counter with NO FREEZER component. So Get this the closest ice machine was on the lobby level of a 16 floor resort. AND they charged 25cents for a small bucket of ice!! Unacceptable and when I contacted Vacasa they gave me the lame story that a refrigerator was not listed as in the unit. They protect their amenities like they are some thing special and they are not, so like the non existent early checkin their checkout policy is the same. Once you check out at 10am you are NO LONGER allowed to use their facilities. How stupid is that. Stay away if you don't like being frustrated.

Weekend Studio Getaway (Room 711 A) The location of the resort was great, right across the street from the beach. It is a dated resort that could use some updating as well as the room. The room with small balcony is located on the back of the building facing another condo and the top of the parking garage which includes the basketball court, tennis court, volley ball and shuffle board. The "ocean view" can be seen by leaning over the balcony and looking to the right of the building at a distance. The bay can also be seen miles away from the balcony. The room was a hotel like room /studio with a sink when you first walk in, a bathroom with shower and 2 queen beds. There is a microwave, small fridge and coffee pot. They did not supply bath soap in our room but they did have towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner and dish soap they also had an iron, a few plates, utensils, a George Foreman grill and a blender. The beds were comfortable but the room was very bright and missing slats in the vertical blinds. There is also an adjoining door to the condo next door as you first walk in. Our only complaint was the room could have been cleaned much better there were candy wrappers, a flip flop and a CBD bottled of something left under the beds from previous guests and dust all around the edges by the beds and nightstand . The rest of the room, bathroom and linens were clean and the room smelled fresh and clean upon arrival . Our stay was great and we enjoyed the resort amenities, we would stay here again. The on-site restaurant was really good and updated. They also have a spa, pool, hot tubs and a gym. We rented through VRBO which went through Vacasa and our room was $53 a night plus cleaning and fees. Totally unheard of price across from the beach and in a resort, so we can't complain there at all.

The view is amazing. The condos are very dated and so are the common areas. Condos are individually owned so some are very outdated. Very convenient to beach and food.

Razor with white substance left in shower

Me and my husband went to Surfside resort in Destin Flordia this past weekend. The room was not up to par on cleanliness. Not worth the money we paid. The shower had a razor left in it with a white substance beside it. There was a razor under the microwave. The blow dyer was broken. Half the blinds were missing. The missing blinds were in the closet floor and under the bed. Trash was left in the bathroom trash can with no bag. Only one chair was on the balcony so we couldn't even sit together. You had to pay for ice out of the ice machine but they did not give anything to put the ice in. Only one of the hot tubs were working. When I asked for an ice bucket for the ice, I was told to use a bowl out of the room. No bowls were in our room. Then was told they are not a hotel. I told them they sure are set up like one. We booked here because stayed about 5 years ago and they were great then. They are ran down now.

Loved this resort has a really great view of the ocean from the balcony. The prices wasn't bad and the local restaurants were convenient.

When we arrived, no one asked us if we needed help with our luggage. We made our way to the Presidential Suite and it was filthy. The room size was massive but they clearly never cleaned it well. The couches and carpet all stained, the vents had 1 inch layers of dust all over, the fan was covered in dust balls and dust layers, some vents were falling out of the ceiling with no screws, the tile floor cracked, carpet has nails popping through and there is dirt and dust all over the floors from not being vacuumed or cleaned. There was also a huge roach on the floor which didn't add for an additional touch. It's Florida so I'm trying to be accepting of palmetto roaches but it wasn't cool finding that on your already filthy $1000 room floor. We were incredibly disappointed. For over $1000 this is not what we expected. We did share this with management and our next two nights we were supposed to stay in the queen room, was then adjusted to the king room. While the king room was definitely much cleaner, this room was also hundreds of dollars less in value. It's just very disappointing to pay over $1000 to have a room you can't sit on the couch, or walk the floors without your feet covered. Aside from the room, we also had a pretty awful breakfast experience. Eggs cold, and my husband's avacado toast was missing the egg. We sent it back and it was fixed but that lost our trust in the restaurant so we ate out instead. Our experience with the rental chairs on the beach was not good the first day either. The guy told us there were chairs set up, we walked over and there wasn't. He didn't offer to add anymore, so my husband put ours out for us. We really felt they lacked the customer service feature here. This place lacked the prestige we hoped for and we decided we wouldn't return here again. While the sunset and sunrise are just breathtaking, the hospitality and attention to detail here is lacking and not for us at this price. It seems people have been coming here for so many years they have blinders up and are missing how much is falling through the cracks or even noticing any issue. We would not stay here again and definitely do not believe 4 stars is a true depiction of this place, it could use work and improvements.

This boutique hotel is straight up wonderful! It's intimate, with its own pool and restaurants…read more Even though it is not an all-inclusive, it sure gets close! There is a sweets suite that has granola bars, popcorn, soda, oranges and apples, goldfish, an ice and water machine, espresso machine (that also makes hot cocoa), and ice cream bars! No need to pack extra snacks for your little ones on this trip! The rooms are large and the balconies have a gorgeous view of the bluest turquoise waters- it reminded me of being in the islands! The turndown service brings you fresh homemade cookies every night (so don't use your DND!). The staff onsite are super accommodating, the drinks at the bar are delicious, and the food is good as well. The pool drinks are more expensive if you go to the beach club next door. The pool area has a huge sunscreen dispenser (never seen one of these), ice water, fire pits (free to use). There is a tiny gym off the lobby (open 24/7). It has one treadmill, one elliptical, free weights, one bench, on pulley system and a Lululemon mirror thing. No one seemed to use it, so that was nice. The beach is powdered sugar soft a the ocean is clear and calm. It was an OASIS! The only surprise is that there isn't any drink service. Luckily the pool bar wasn't too far away. There is a free trolley you can take to other pools like the Watercolor Club (for kids), and other locations. There are some eateries within walking distance (however not a ton). The whole town is walkable and bike friendly. If you're a runner, there's a paved walkway that goes alongside the main road for miles and miles. I stuck to the trails behind the houses and loved it! It was secluded and woodsy, and yet I still saw houses so it didn't feel unsafe. This was probably one of the best vacations I've been on- it felt foreign but was stateside. Everyone enjoyed it- myself, my husband, our toddler, and my older in-laws. It's worth every penny! And bonus: the AC works amazingly! You can have a cold room and the ceiling fan makes it even better! The housekeeping was also phenomenal! Everyone was friendly and did such a great job! They gave us more shampoo, etc without us even having to ask. My only cons- I wish the free bike rental had helmets. I don't trust drivers when I have a little one to take care of, and the pool pump was loud so we couldn't really hear the ocean from the balcony, but not a deal killer.

Absolute delight. First time staying at this resort, but our 7th time staying in Watercolor, where…read morewe usually rent a house or condo.
