I had never been there before, but their great reviews and an open appointment made it an easy choice--and I'm so glad I went. My massage therapist, Ling Wemple, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly thorough and clearly very knowledgeable. Not only did she use effective massage techniques, but she also incorporated stretching and other therapeutic modalities that really targeted my problem areas. From the moment we started, she focused on my concerns with professionalism and genuine care. I felt noticeably better right away--Ling truly went above and beyond. In the past, I've enjoyed massages, but typically only went if someone gave me a gift certificate. After this session, I realized the true therapeutic benefits of massage. I gave her a tip but probably shouldn't have. The ceiling looked nasty and the massage room was cold. No warm blanket and no bolster for the ankle or knees.

I went in and her boss had made the appointment. I told her no toner in my hair at all. I have been to cosmetology school and I knew what needed to be done to my hair and how my hair reacts to products. Again, Shay tried a toner on it anyway, even though I said we should bleach it. My hair ended up a bright yellow and looked even worse the next day. I had already been in tears over how my hair looked and we were supposed to be going out of town for a few days. I couldn't stand how yellow my hair was so I bought professional products and used a color remover first, then a lightened. My hair now looks and feels great. It's the white and pale blonde it's supposed to be! Sad that I had to pay to fix it myself, especially when that could have been avoided if I had been listened to. Nearly 5 hours were spent on screwing up my hair in the salon between the 2 appointments.

I LOVE Sue at Mindful Massage! I always have anxiety when someone is touching me (especially if I…read moredon't know them). Sue was very conscientious of that. Her communications skills are amazing. She asked several times "is this ok?" or "is this to much or not enough". Sue remembered my likes and dislikes and kept a mental rolodex for the next time (so nice not to have to repeat yourself!). She always kept me informed of what she was going to do before she did it. I think she even asked if I would like for her to stop talking once I got the hang of it. Her sheet work is also phenomenal! I'm pretty chesty and was worried about exposing myself. Sue assured me it wouldn't happen and if it did ...no big deal! Happy to say she must be a magician too! That sheet never came untucked even when I rolled over! Sue focused on my trouble spots (mainly lower back and legs). She paid attention to every inch even some places I didn't think were important... like toes! Who knew those could feel amazing! (Sue, that's who). By the time I left I was anxiety free and so relaxed. My legs felt like butter and all I wanted to do was float home and relax! Sue is the only person I will see from now on! Sue made the entire experience about me and what I wanted and was comfortable with. I'm pretty positive I'm one of those "needy clients", but with Sue I felt comfortable and she accommodated everything. After seeing her several times, now I just walking, lay down and let her work her magic!
