So, We are…read morecompletely unable to contact Dowagiac Heating & Air Conditioning, or they won't respond any longer. I'm not saying they should send my money back to me, but I'm not not saying it either. We called a newer repair person 'Surfix heating and air conditioning' (there's a review coming), and he came out, checked the unit, discovered a piece that was needed (a wire switch), and noticed that the part that was replaced by Dowagiac Heating & Air had been installed with a metal wire connector touching metal. This led to the unit working imporperly and shorting out which is why it never worked. Do not call this place, they did not fix my unit, then acted butt-hurt when i reviewed them and refuse to contact us. I attempted to give them the opportunity to come out and fix the air conditioner but they never responded. Don't work with them if you want the problem fixed and fixed affordably. Go to SureFix.

We recently moved into our new house and gradually learned that we were not getting water from our…read morehot water heater into our furnace-installed humidifier properly. It's been very dry! Especially through the winter. I replaced the control module in hopes it would fix, but still no water flow. After countless manual pumps of a spray bottle to the new filter, I called Hometown and Tim answered right away. Corresponding conveniently through text from there on, he came out to do an assessment and provided a very reasonable quote for a faulty valve, which also happens to be out of code and should never have been used for the purpose. He was able to come out again same day, but I was unavailable, so he came again the very next morning and cut and replaced the piping within 10 minutes, showing me what was done and I am thrilled that the water is now flowing seamlessly. A musician himself, we shared some good chatter about shared interests. All in all, great friendly guy who identified the issue and got the problem fixed quickly. What's not to love about that? This company does not care about you. We joined thier…read moremembership, and it has been a terrible experience. We asked to schedule our spring tune up in March, they scheduled us in May. Then they canceled day-of. Then they GHOSTED us THREE TIMES IN A ROW after re-scheduling us-- over and over-- no call, no-show... three times I had to call/text THEM to see why they never showed up. They never followed up or made good by attempting to fix the issue, even when after I reached out and told them about the TWO MONTHS of straight up GHOSTING and our continued desire to have them come out and perform the services they have been CHARGING US FOR the last 6 months. If you like being left in the lurch for MONTHS with terrible customer service and no communication, this is the company for you. Buyer beware, these guys do NOT care about thier customers at ALL.
