Sorry to say that we had a terrible alterations experience. Seamstress did not show up for my…read moreappointment. I was assured that the other person could do the pinning. However instead of shrinking the bodice they just pulled the whole thing up by the shoulders. (this moved the bust hip and waist line up making it fit even less well). When I showed up at assigned time to pick up the dress and my daughters pants, The dress was not finished and the pants were wrong. I was then rushed in the day before the due date to get the hem re pinned as they said the pins had fallen out. I picked up the pants that were re done but not pressed. The following day I picked up the dress and it was a disaster. Too long to walk without tripping and as suspected the bodice was way off. I found another place to fix it all in rush job and paid a fortune. The second seamstress suggested that I get a new dress cause it was so badly botched (actually longer in front than back -full length gown) All this just days before my son's wedding. I mostly have issues with the coin op laundry. My washer died, and i thought i would get a weeks worth of laundry done in 2 hours, so i popped in here. They have high efficiency washers, and i noticed the cleaning lady closing and latching all of them, which i thought was maybe because she was going to do the floors or something and wanted the doors closed. Nope. When i got home, i noticed that all my clothes smelled really bad. This leads me to believe that they always keep all the washers closed because they grow mold if they don't get a chance to dry out. Ultimately, I ended up spending a whole day at my parents' house rewashing everything. It was nice to hang out with them, but a huge waste of time and money to go to the laundromat first. Not related to the washing, but they used to have vending machines for drinks and snacks, which were gone, and the soap vending machines were not working. That may have changed since my visit.
