Got some music related things from this locally owned store in Batavia. It has everything from…read moreinstruments to posters, and lots more. Kiss The Sky has tons of music too, mostly on vinyl. A cluttered mess but worth it if having the time to look around. The staff is pretty knowledgeable about artists and instruments. Cool place for anyone who likes music stores, and especially the ones filled with assorted crap. It's probably the worst thing about it. Takes so long going through everything and you can lose track of time. Looked through a lot of rolled up posters that were wrapped in plastic. These had no labels saying what they were. Of course the staff didn't even know. This is one example of the lack of organization. Oh well, it's still cool. The prices on most things are okay. Has some pretty cool things of course. It's located at First Street and Water Street downtown. This is a pretty cluttered store but it's fun if you like this kind of stuff.

They did have book 4 of The Dream Harbor Series by Laurie Gilmore (The Strawberry Patch Pancake House), which was the next book I needed since I've read the first 3 of 6. I snagged that to enjoy during my downtime of the next week or two which will give me something to look forward to. Employees are helpful in guiding you where to find items and the store was well organized. While I typically prefer local vs national brands when it comes to bookstores, B.A.M. is still a solid option to grab a book when in a pinch.

There's a lot of cool stuff to look at here, some of it of the creepier variety (taxidermy, bones, etc.) Plus lots of stuff pertaining to magic, movies, neon signs, uranium glass, vintage guitars, you name it. Been coming here about 3 years now - very cool place. Have come just to browse around, other times…read moreto just randomly buy a cd or old cassette, and other times to sell (or "trade for stuff" - which is even cooler - how many places allow that??) some vinyls I have accumulated over the years for some old stereo equipment and/or some extra cash. Probably the best place to come if you are looking for the most in resale value. Now as mentioned, over the years I have accumulated so much vinyl (some of it literally new, and unopened in some cases). Much of it - while I admit holds some value - I just will never be able to use or play. Taking it to a "Half Price Books" store they will give you almost nothing for it ($1-$2 maybe for great condition vinyls), and then turn around and put it on their shelves for 10-25 bucks. That is NOT a place I recommend taking anything to, unless you're just looking to donate it. One time I took a huge load of valuable textbooks there and was offered 25 cents. Russ (owner) has SO MUCH stuff here, and even more stereo stuff in a location the public doesn't usually see, except for appointment. He's pretty fair with buying and trading your vinyl or other collectibles. I collect old stereo equipment (even stuff that doesn't hold a lot of "dollar value" these days)... Russ has so much stuff that some of it he'll be glad to unload to you. Very cool place to check out. The organization has gotten better the last 1-2 years - sometimes it feels "stuff is just EVERYWHERE" though... I can envision a bit more tidy-ness and/or a better database for the music...(computerized, tho it may not be possible with THIS MUCH INVENTORY). Somebody comes in and says - "I am looking for such and such on cd/vinyl or cassette" - and then an easy computerized search and location for it. Very minor complaint though... Will continue to come here and look around, or take my stuff in for trade. I highly recommend. Russ and his employees are cool guys and will always try to accommodate you and your requests.

I wandered in out of pure curiosity, and I'm really glad I did. This place is such a cool concept: browse vinyl while enjoying a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They even carry Delta-9 THC beverages if you're looking for a relaxing buzz without the hangover. The record selection is surprisingly comprehensive for a shop this size, with plenty to dig through no matter what genres you're into. Beyond the records and drinks, they host live music, trivia, and other events throughout the week, making it feel like a genuine community gathering spot rather than just another record store. The staff was fantastic. I think the person helping me was Sue (if I remembered the name correctly), and she was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. If you're anywhere near Lisle, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
