This is one of the few businesses left in our society that solely relies on exceptional customer service and results, even though they seem to have little competition, they have to perform their craft perfectly every time to make it work. Located against a lone windowless wall next to Gate 20 are three elevated seats complete with foot rest and a few friendly characters that are always ready to engage in some causal conversation while providing your well traveled footwear with some much needed love. Happened to be checking out my fave shoes on the way to the airport wishing I had cleaned them before we left- The salt and snow had started to make them a little dingy. When I saw this shoe shine stand by Gate 20 in Bradley by American Airlines it couldn't have been better timing! The prices are posted so you know right away how much you're in for- shoes are $6 and boots are $8 (mine were $8). The gentleman at the stand had a steady flow, 2 people walking away, 1 in the seat and 2 more lined up after me. The entire process only took about 5 min and made such a difference! It was my first shoe shine ever but I think I'm going to be making this a regular habit and for only $8 it was def worth it! read more
