It is a geodesic dome that is 143 feet tall and has a diameter of 563 feet. Surprisingly, it is only the fifth largest dome in the world though it is the largest *wooden* dome. Some facts about the dome: - it has a retractable artificial turf carpet. - the first event here was in 1991, when the Wildcats defeated Indianapolis - the attendance record is 8672 - George W. She asked why I wanted training and I explained my situation. I had expected some kind of "You're weird, no," response (which would have been fair). However, it was simply recommended I take the beginners class first and that was it. No trying to convince me why I needed a personal arsenal, just OK, see you on this date at this place. There was also no trying to convince me differently of my views in the training, and in fact Sierra said "I like to talk to people with other viewpoints." Having taken the training I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. This stuff should be taught in schools! The overwhelming majority of the class is spent on safety and the legal concerns associated with gun ownership. The training covers everything from how to safely handle a gun to when it can (or should) be used. The big lesson is understanding the consequences that come with the decision to pull the gun and what happens when you pull the trigger. It's a very sobering class, and I truly believe that if classes like this were mandatory in schools (or at least to own a gun) we'd see a huge reduction in gun violence. And yes, this is from someone who does not like guns - but I do respect the views of responsible gun owners.
