I have no clue what Sarah is on about. One of the worst businesses I have ever walked into. The boy at the counter was very vague, cocky, and nonchalant all the things you don't want in customer service. There was also a older guy standing outside not sure if he own the building or establishment but he just grilled me with a nasty look before even getting inside I said "Hello" and he just kept looking. Nice guys behind the counter. I went with some gold jewelry to sell, and had already calculated a rough estimate of its value based on weight and that day's gold rate. Sure enough, they came up with a very fair offer, as good as anyone would, I'm sure. While I was waiting I walked around the place and was surprised by the variety of merchandise for sale. Everything from generators to bicycles to shop tools to TVs, as well as jewelry. I couldn't ask for more. I've been dealing with Superior for years and today I realized why. I'm having an emergency for cash at the moment and brought in a few items that I didn't want to get rid of. At first I was a little disappointed they only offered me $100 to pawn and $140 to sell when just one of my items alone was worth at least $500. I told the owner what I needed the money for and he was very understanding. He told the young lady to up my loan to $150 to pawn. Which means he gave me more money and I can get my items back. I wish I knew his name so I can thank him properly. Anyway I highly recommend this business. I believe it's family owned and operated and you can definitely tell. Some people need to realize the type of business these people run and cut them some slack. They have people trying to get over on them daily so you can't hold it against them that they have their guard up or an attitude when the person before you probably put them in that mood. I would never, EVER go back!!! Totally got ripped off on selling gold there. Do NOT be fooled by the 2012 NBC report that stated they paid premium prices. 2012 is not today. If you want true top dollar for gold, go to CT Gold Buyers in Wallingford CT. I brought the same bracelet on the same day to Superior Exchange and CT Gold Buyers. Superior offered $350 (a price that was more than they wanted to pay until I questioned why they were so low); CT Gold Buyers gave me $440. So much for premium!
