It is well stocked & as usual with these shops you can smell them coming up on approach. Personally i cant get excited about these stores as some of my work colleagues do, i just dont get it?? Yeah they have nice products which do the job but so does the 50p bar of ponds soap from tesco's or boots. 50 pence or £5 mmmmm Staff seem friendly enough, but i wont be rushing back in there on pay day.. Unless im missing something about these products? Whats the secret?

They are always full of the latest products, you can always find what you are looking for. The smell is also really lovely and it hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The products are indeed lovely, I have tried there bath bars, there shampoos and bath jellys but they are expensive. You can get similar items for a fraction of the price at Boots whcih is on the level below. But if you want a bit of luxury this is the place to go. I think more and more people are having more showers too and lots of there products seem more designed for Baths. Staff are always very friendly, I had to pay my usual visit after christmas to see what lovely goodies I could pick up with the money I was given I think a lovely touch is the popcorn they pack in the boxes to protect the goods instead of the usual paper that just ends up in the bin.

They also sell homeware in this store and have some really lovely things, quite similar to what you would find in Next etc. but at much more competitive prices. There are plenty of changing rooms here so you never really have to queue for too long and the rooms are clean and spacious. I don't live in Newton Abbot but whenever i am nearby i try to pop in here as i much prefer it to the Matalan in my hometown.

The shop itself is quite tired looking and could do with a revamp but the cards themselves are not too badly priced. They also offer a few related items like balloons, personalised key rings and mugs etc. There is a good range of products for the usual occasions for both male and females and the wedding range is also quite comprehensive. Worth a visit if you don't have the time and energy to queue in the larger store and the staff are usually friendly and polite.

Particularly good prices on soft drinks and wines. Take your own carriers as they do charge for these and don't expect to see their fruit and veg neatly bagged, this would only cause the prices to rise! I must admit that it would be hard to do your full weekly shop here, but if you go here to get your basic items then you won't be disappointed by the bill at the end. They save their money by not going all out in displaying their items, which will often be found in cardboard boxes that they were delivered in. You will also have to bring your own plastic bags unless you want to pay for them, but in this green day and age it is not necessarily a bad thing!!
