The staff are all really nice, and the pharmacists are very friendly and are willing to have a chat and give you some helpful advice. The shop is small which limits the range of stock it has but it is a real asset to the local community. They work closely with the nearby medical centre and if you ask for a prescription renewal and don't pick it up before the medical centre closes you can just go into the pharmacy and they will have it waiting for you. There are two reasonable car parks at the shopping centre and plenty of on street parking.

My experience with Boots Opticians has been one of endless irritation. The staff at this location…read moreare friendly and willing to make things as pleasant as possible, but the product is far from good. A day after receiving my new glasses, I discovered that the frames were actually broken. This may or not have been due to the case not being the correct one for that frame. It wouldn't even close. I went back and they were able to replace the frames with the display set. I was fine with that, despite the fact that they creak constantly. I've never had a pair of glasses, not even cheap sunglasses, that creak! Still, I've been living with it because they were inexpensive and you get what you pay for. I've been back numerous times to have them fitted better as well, but they never stay up. After a month of trying to adjust, I can no longer deal with these lenses. They seem to always be dirty, even after a thorough cleaning. It is as though I am looking through cellophane. I will be taking them back again to see if there is an option for a different lens. All in all, I would not recommend Boots Opticians. It's just been one ordeal after another.
