The minimum waiting time always seems to be 10-15 minutes, otherwise you have to go back which doesnt seem cost effective or easy if you (or your child) is ill. The staff are always polite, but the waiting (particularly if other people are obviously ill and spreading germs) is an issue for me personally. There is parking right outside the Pharmacy within a large car park and you can easily take a buggy into the Pharmacy. As the store is part of a long chain of shops, big brands can be found alongside the usual bargain bin fare. At the time of writing, Belkin computer cables and Coca Cola are both available for purchase. Although the tills can often get rather busy, I can only recommend a visit to see for yourself. Therefore, I am giving Poundland Colchester four out of a possible five stars.

First of all, let me just say this. The name is a total win for me. As an American used to Dollar Tree and Dollar stores, to see this one called Poundland somehow just tickled my funny bone repeatedly. They had a wide selection of wacky things typical to that sort of store with the occasional (also typical) gem amidst the tripe. Their staff however....ugh....very rude, always surly, and generally unpleasant. But, poor as I was while I was over there, I appreciated the convenience and low price point of their merchandise and I braved the rudeness for my goods. Just don't get the bargain nose tissues, NOT worth it. Horrible things, fell apart as soon as you pulled them from the box! ewwwww
